If prices are adjusted: Reimburse us the difference in Credits

Welcome to the halo fanbase.

It is exactly what we are discussing. You don’t need to put it in perspective. I was here when the H4 Map Pack fiasco happened, which 343 gave that map pack away, to make up for that mistake, so a precedent has been set.

You are twisting this argument to talk about man hours when this has already been done by 343 within the first month of release. No one is expecting someone to go in and calculate every penny spent to reimburse. A blanket " Hey sorry for changing the prices have some XP bonuses" is fine. Same as they did when they recalculated the XP gains for the BP.

This thread was summed up when Op admitted they were ok with XP bonuses as compensation.

If it wasn’t for physical, there would be no digital :om:

All anyone needs to know about you before they read your posts, is there perhaps more in your Twitter bio that you didn’t quite manage to fit onto this site?

I feel like asking for 100% of the difference in credits is unlikely. As previous posters have mentioned, you choose what to do with your money. If they reduce prices but you purchased the full price in the weeks before in any situation the vendor is going to look at you like you’re crazy. Even if it was overpriced, at the end of the day you choose to spend retail value. That’s just on the business side.

However, a good PR move would be to give some sort of compensation to those who paid full price for everything if they significantly reduce the prices. As a significant reduction or large scale rework admits fault on the side of the designers and marketing team. Maybe 50% credit up to a maximum cap. That way they keep your money and you get some feeling of “settlement.”

Realistically, there will likely be a form of compensation but at the same point maybe not. It’s like a 50/50 because…

This customization design marketing strategy is literally to target people with “excess funds” who don’t mind spending 10-20 dollars every week or so because to that target audience it’s not a noticeable amount.

It’s precisely how business works.

Inflated prices at first for people like yourself then they’ll reduce the price until they’re happy with the sales figures.

If you want to be the gullible early buyer, buying things when you are not happy with the price then more fool you.

I promise you, it isn’t a regret thing. I just want the show of good will.

Okay well we’re on the topic of digital stuff right now.

I can copy and paste it if you want. If you think comments like that get under my skin, that’s really funny. I was mentioning it large in part because, “Here are two groups I’m part of that deal with trolls/hate/harassment a lot, and here’s my age, so that you know I have been here a while.”

Y’know, like the sad attempt you just chucked my way. Throw didn’t even make it to home plate though bud, back to the Jr. leagues.

So I think someone made a good point in some thread, maybe here?

I’m somewhat quoting them so if I’m wrong correct me…

Halo 3 mythic map pack cost money back in the days and now it’s free. Should everyone ask for their money back and get reimbursed?

Not after that many years no. It doesn’t work like that.

Nope, you 100% had zero pressure in buying a microtransaction at the listed price and just like when a store in the real world changed prices, you are not given compensation. If you feel that changed in prices are an issue, you should future wise not spend the money on something that was your choice and no ones else. If you’re tight for money do not spend it on pixels in a video game.

A paragraph is all I wanted.

Please do.

So people who bought the samurai stuff are luck because now they don’t have to unlock it in the event and the have credits, if credited back.

I think they should get xp boosts and swaps as well because now they’re progressing through an event with stuff they already have. Might as well give them more xp or something to make playing through the event worth playing than just getting the normal xp that’ll be available.

The 20 dollar set isn’t going into the event pass as far as I know, just all future content was added to the pass.

If the store is cool they’ll work with you or you can tell them them off and take your business elsewhere.

The customer is always right

Oh I didn’t know this :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I thought they like mess up and was going to add the paid stuff to the event :hushed:

Yeah I remember they said something like “nothing you pay for will be redistributed for free”

Oh so then I guess the the answer to the title of this thread is no?

It is a very good question though. Like what if they have sales and have things reduced? Does that just mean tough luck chuck? :four_leaf_clover:

The community isn’t 343, 343 and Microsoft decide what they want to do, not the halo community.

Well if the community is not there then they just got empty servers and they lose money running empty servers :skull_and_crossbones:

Yes but this doesn’t affect the community who didn’t pay.

Well I did pay :grinning: I got the battle pass and the superintendent nameplate bundle :no_mouth:

Since I got the ODST armor I don’t think I’ll pay $20 for any armor.

Now if they add animated nameplates I might buy one :money_mouth_face:
