Just taking apart the idea that digital purchases aren’t refundable. Which is quite frankly, asinine.
of course they are totally refundable, they are still a product but that doesn’t mean everything can be refunded

Actually, within F2P games, it’s considered gained revenue because you’re making sure dolphins and whales are content and not so miffed they refuse to spend more money.
I’ve bought an 11000 cR bundle before the store prices changed. I’m not buying another until I’m reimbursed in some capacity. I don’t care whether it’s some fancy cosmetic or a 25% return on previous cR spending. Every other F2P game I’ve played has changed store prices and always reimbursed players who recently spent money.
If 343 thinks that’s below them, I’ll just not spend cash. They don’t respect me in this exchange; I won’t play the money game.

okay here’s another angle how but you ask XBL for a full refund every time a game you digitally own goes on games with gold, cause that is what you are more or less asking for

also saying store credits have no IRL monetary value is dumb, they are the same as old-school Microsoft points they have real world value as dictated by the company you buy them from.

You can believe that but I’m not going to try to convince you otherwise, it isn’t worthwhile.
I really don’t understand the whole “credits don’t have value” argument. I mean, they don’t have value to me, which is why I haven’t purchased any yet. They obviously have value to payers, which is why they pay real money for them. I don’t know why they wouldn’t have value to 343 since that is how they make their revenue.
If people paid for cosmetics to support the game on release then 343 admits they were overcharging and adjusts the price then people who paid for them should be compensated. Other games do this and retail stores do it if an item goes on sale directly after you buy it. Refusing to compensate would just drive off players who actually bought anything. If they aren’t going to compensate then why would I bother buying anything till season 2, they already said they were going to look at selling items individually so why would I buy now if I would just be screwed later.

Yeah, if they don’t find some way of reimbursing people they are just going to scare off whales in favor of people who haven’t spent anything in the store.
