If prices are adjusted: Reimburse us the difference in Credits

Can I be the voice of reason and say that it’s the consumer’s fault for having buyers remorse by rushing out and buying something at an inflated price? Things are overpriced because there’s enough of those people without self control in the world that rush out and pay too much too quickly:

Like with iPhones…
Or anything else that is popular.

NO!! 343 preyed on his weak mind! He must be made whole again!

I would truly appreciate compensation for it - both as a thank you for the support and as a, “We understand you are a paying customer, here’s a small grant to incentivize your continued purchases.”

Aaaand yet, they’re looking at the store to see what they can change. We, the consumers, did not set these prices to begin with - and there are enough of you who have abstained, that they are reconsidering. You all do have my sincere gratitude for this.

But we who purchased things do not deserve punishment by the community.

I wouldn’t call it punishment, but you can’t complain about a price after you’ve already agreed to pay it. That’s like eating an entire meal at a restaurant and then saying your steak was undercooked and you want a refund.

I mean if just about everyone in this thread concludes that you just jumped the gun and shouldn’t be reimbursed retroactively and you keep clinging to your statement and refuse to concede… This discussion is over.

except that happens sometimes

It is not uncommon for stores to pay back the difference within a short window, and can be good for business. I would support 343 doing this, but I don’t think it should be expected. I think the better solution it’s to only adjust the prices of anything new, maybe in a month or so drop the prices of the existing stuff since it will be old by then.

also this is like saying that buying a tv before black friday, you are owed the sale to be reimbursed to you
(note I am not saying YOU said this, just kind of saying that asking for money because something went on sale is stupid)

Wouldn’t it be more like ordering a meal and learning the price for meals was lowered while you’re still eating?

If you were to buy Halo 5 for $60, and the next day they lowered it to $30, it would probably be a good idea for them to give you the difference.
If you bought it a year ago though, that would be different.

I doubt they would, as why should they?
you bought something at the retail price which just changes the next day

I had never seen a store do that, but good to know, which stores are we talking about? maybe the laws are different where you are.

I don’t remember what the term for it is, but stores will usually compensate for the quick price difference.
Some might not, but many of them do.

United states? we have almost the same laws (even a copy of Black Friday), I’ll be checking on that.

Yes.
I don’t think it’s a law, but I think stores do it to keep their customers happy.
Losing $30 probably isn’t as bad losing all of the money those customers would have spent.

It is precisely because some people continue to buy 343 high-value decorations without making a sound that 343 will continue to be so expensive. What we need to do is not to pay for such expensive decorations to show our opinion. Instead of buying it right now

People who do that should be banned from going to restaurants in the first place

Yeah, people doing that can make it more difficult to get refunds when the food is actually bad.
Though, if they eat the entire meal, I think it should be obvious that the food wasn’t bad.

I don’t think you should or will get a refund of any sort, but at most maybe if you bought something a week tops before discount then maybe you’d get the price difference.
But look at other free games, you don’t get refunds of price drops with those. Not with CoD, Fortnight or any mobile game I’m pretty sure. It’d be a good PR move by 343 but I don’t see it happening.
