If prices are adjusted: Reimburse us the difference in Credits

You really came here to just continue talking in circles, if you read the 20 posts before you, you can see a pretty good summary.

Except im not gonna read 20 posts before this?

So you just want another 20 posts responding to you? As opposed to reading the thread you came to and commented on?

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Keep feeding the troll…

No I’m just hopping into this thread again looking at the very most recent replies which are usually the last 3 or so. And no I don’t want 20 replies I’m just putting my 2 cents in, you’re the one that’s adding unnecessary comments

@GusTank04 K bud, go have a dart.

Imagine thinking that getting a refund on a used asset that has wear and tear AND rapidly depreciates in value over time is even remotely comparable to getting a portion of digital currency (which doesn’t cause the company to actually lose any money, unlike the car scenario) when a company reduces prices a week after you made a digital purchase, which has plenty of historical precedent throughout the game industry.

Wasn’t talking about you, lol

It’s wild. It’s not even REMOTELY comparable…!

LOL, are we still on this? digital purchases are not refundable

Weird. I’ve worked in the game industry for 11 years and when I worked on an MMO back in 2011 our customer service tools had all kinds of options for refunding digital purchases.

brO. That’s. Not.

Read @Porrage comment, read @Tiltud comment.

It’s like people come here and ignore the counter point arguments and just go straight to
“What if you buy a toaster and it goes to a cheaper price the next month, Target isn’t going to give you the extra $20 lol”
like bruv we’ve explained how it’s different because it is, there’s no demands here, just an idea to get 343 into customers good graces, cause they… Well frankly, they haven’t been too hot in some of the communities eyes since launch.

It does actually. They are giving you more content for the same amount of money, that is considered losing money

Actually no. Historically this doesn’t really affect the metrics that games use to determine how much money they’re making.

You’re not going to see a dip in ARPU (average revenue per user) when you give out freebies because:

A. Players already converted the money to real credits and they’re not getting their real money back

B. If a player purchased a 1000 credit pack that went down to 500 and they get 500 back, they’re often inclined to top up the next time they see a store item that’s outside of their reach (obviously I don’t have the data for Halo Infinite, but historically this is a trend I’ve seen in multiple games)

C. Giving players freebies often has a positive effect with retention (because then they want to use the credits so they keep coming back to the store)

Game companies also don’t really track how much content they’re giving away per dollar. They’re looking at how much money they make vs their budget and their forecast. So if anything, the massive slash in store prices (a mythic effect selling for $10 instead of $20) would actually be "giving you more content for the same amount of money. BUT! The reason game companies don’t care about that metric is because…

Reducing store prices could have an effect on ARPU, which is the big number that everyone wants to go up. Who cares if they’re giving away more content for less money when the monthly ARPU goes from say, $5.00 per user to $7.00 per user? Totally random numbers, but you get the idea.

Welcome to 2022.
I’m not saying they can’t, I’m saying they won’t, and not even going to make a point that I already posted.
I have used MS customer service and they have been great with me.
and yes @Aristocus people think they can compare objects to digital objects, same rules don’t apply, as same rules don’t apply for airlines, supermarkets, and gaming companies.

just saying, if U get a refund great, but don’t complain like 343i owns you a refund (by U I mean the players that want said refund)

That was the disconnect, we were only saying it would be a nice kickback for those that were paying the higher prices, I don’t think anyone here was demanding one.

Nah, I too bought some, but reimbursement shouldn’t be necessary

I have read a few and basically the OP is asking for one, here and on other platforms, but hey if they get it great. my note on the no refund policy goes to every digital purchase like there´s no argument to ask for a refund or reimbursement.

Oh my bad bro
