If prices are adjusted: Reimburse us the difference in Credits

I don’t know what happened here but I do think AND HAVE SEEN, in the past, companies do this. I’d support it because when the campaign launched, I had already preordered with $100 worth of creds. I think I bought 2 armor sets that I don’t even use primarily, would be nice to get a bit of a return on the over priced shoulder pads and uggo helm I bought for $20.
Anyone saying ‘it’s your fault for buying this garbage, no’- That’s a bit rude innit?
It’s just a net positive for the customer. Other companies have done it.
I don’t see why you would say ‘no, they better not give the customer some kick back from buying those over priced skins, the fools’.
Like that’s just a bad attitude.

The people who want us to get nothing back just want to be spiteful honestly.

Do you have anything better to do than to try and provoke a response out of me?

Alright, right back at ya fam. Hope you buy a product and it goes to a cheaper price a week later and the company just says eff off.
But I only hope that cause you hope it for me.
This would literally only be a nice thing for the company to do. Nice, but not needed.
Pretty sure fortnite has done this a few times. Think Apex has. MMOs have done it.
The crux of this argument would be

‘we recognize that our shop items are too expensive so we’ve reduced them. if you’ve already bought shop items for their original price, you will not be reimbursed for purchases made pre shop update’

or

’ ‘we recognize that our shop items are too expensive so we’ve reduced them. if you’ve already bought shop items for their original price, you will see xtra credits in your inventory for compensation of the price reduction’

Option A or option B? Who would you rather support as a company?
Cause a lot of you are picking option A.

You don’t deserve the difference back. You decided to pay $20 for these armor sets that’s on you. Adidas doesn’t send me money when the sweats or running shoes I buy go on clearance after I buy them so why should 343? You made a bad decision so you should have to deal with it.

I wouldn’t ask for a refund in the first place. You CHOSE to buy the product, you don’t get reimbursed just because it is later lowered in price. Do you get reimbursed if you buy a game at release for $60 and then then the price is lowered to $40 a year later?

No, you’re misunderstanding the sentiment here;
They released skins for $20: Shoulder pads, helmet, and chroma. They then, after almost 2 months have released a statement saying that they’ll be updating the prices (because they were too high) accordingly.
Many times when companies have done this, they’ve reimbursed people in some form or another for paying the premium price that they NOW deem too high.
That’s all.
It would be a cool thing for 343 and microsoft to do.

What companies have done this?

Not enough for it to be of any significance.

Think it’s more prominent in MMOs but IIRC Riot, EPIC, Valve, Blizzard, Jagex. It’s not detracting from anyone besides the people that bought the over priced stuff, but ‘them being stupid for buying it in the first place’ is a separate thing entirely from ‘hey 343, since I bought this skin on good faith for $20 and now it’s $10, can you throw me a bone?’

Shouldn’t hurt to ask! It’s fine either way, just ‘on the list of items that 343i could do to get into players good graces again’ type thing.

That right there

I don’t remember them doing this. I know Valve has refunded people for Cyberpunk 2077 but that is an entirely different situation.

Hey Sega, I bought this game for $70 at launch, now it’s $60, can you throw me a bone?
The argument doesn’t stand up

Okay I’m viewing a product you can play different from a cosmetic within a game. An inconsequential cosmetic over charged for the first 2 months, I don’t see why giving those people a kickback would cause an uproar.

They reimbursed people that bought the Tenrai stuff that was in the store which was later added to the EP, I would totally agree with something like that. You paid for something which later is free, that isn’t fair. But when you KNEW it was overpriced and still bought it, you don’t “deserve” to be reimbursed. You KNEW it was overpriced and CHOSE to pay for it.

Or you thought the shop was never gonna change prices, then it did? Again, I’m not saying we DESERVE to be reimbursed. I’m saying it would BE A COOL THING.

Of course it would be cool. It would be a cool thing to get reimbursed for a lot of things. That doesn’t mean it will or should happen.

If you didn’t think the store prices were gonna change than you didn’t pay much attention to the community

We’ve gotten 2 text updates from the devs since launch :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
We didn’t even know bout this til last weekend

You know how many people said the very same thing about people complaining about the prices in the shop?
Like if you didn’t buy anything this wouldn’t affect you. Congrats on not buying anything and sticking to your guns. I don’t see how players who did spend $20 on the anubis set getting like, 600 credits would detract from your experience in any way. Their money is still gone. You could spend $20 and get the same amount of (content) if not more than they’d (the over priced customers) end up with.

I’m thinking that the prices for stuff released 1/18 onwards will see a price drop but the stuff that has already been released and purchased will stay the same. Hence why we haven’t seen new items for a few weeks now. If they do drop, i will be stoked because it will allow more people to collect armors that they initially could not afford. I have bought a lot from the store but definitely do not agree with 343i being “forced” to refund me even a single credit for my purchases. Value is relative, and i didn’t care for people trying to tell me what i can or cannot do with my own money. Im excited to see what the prices drop too, not because i plan to spend less, but because i can get more for what money i do put into the game.

I’m thinking the same, but I wouldn’t be upset if I logged in and had like, an extra 1000 creds lol “thanks for spending $40 on 2 armor sets, you kept the lights on this month”

Did I say anything about Devs? It was pretty obvious they were going to change it, 1MILLIONx20<3MILLIONx10
It common sense

Very few and the ones I saw were pretty obviously looks around cautiously “shills”

I bought the Samurai weekly bundle. The one with the helmet attachment.

That is probably what they are doing. Maybe they won’t, maybe they will

I mean a broken clock is still right twice a day, I was saying the devs haven’t been that communicative, and any ‘common sense’ would just been assumptions, not statement of fact.
And if you did buy the samurai bundle, you’d potentially get some free credits back if this were to happen.
I’m just having a real, real hard time trying to see what’s not to like about this idea. Just because it’s a forum post doesn’t mean it will happen or that it can’t happen, ya know?
