Oh boy… the “I’ve been playing this game since X amount of time!” argument. You’re just a barrel full of Monkeys aren’t ya!? I’ve played Halo since custom edition of combat evolved released on PC, and even then as a kid played it on my friends Xbox (I was much bigger into Playstation back then. I know I’m a filthy casual. Sue me). So just shy of being a day one player of this series, (nobody cares!) and to be frank the only time I remember more controversy even remotely close was the launch of the MCC on console, and Reach when it came out. WHAT IS YOUR POINT!? The egregious situation that is this game does not just disappear simply because there were bigger badder, and now DEAD fish in the PAST to fry. That was then, this is now, and it’s still barely arguable with that aside.
I wasn’t making a point. Just an observation. Not everything needs to be an argument.
If you truly had passion for this game… you’d boycott this outrage, and demand 343I deliver their unfulfilled promises. Out of circumstance, and principle the only reason I have this game to even experience it is because of game pass. This will literally be the very first Halo I not only did not get the special edition of, but just didn’t buy a physical copy of period, and I won’t until it’s a fully fleshed out Halo experience. I have the themed series X, and I’m so disgusted with this game I have half a mind to post it for sale on Ebay.
Why?
Why do I have to have the same outrage as you do?
Why am I so wrong and so deserving of demonization for enjoying the game?
If you’re so sick of the game, ask yourself your very same question… why are you even here?
It isn’t that. I just question your so called passion if you contribute to the problem willingly, and willfully remain ignorant, or compliant with the serious problems that Plague both the game, and it’s community. Enjoy what you please, but don’t write off other people’s issues as not being a problem just because you enjoy it, and THEN claim to be so passionate over it.
I’m here because I love Halo. I want to see this game fixed, and Playable. Just because infinite is broken, doesn’t mean that the rest of Halo is.
You can claim to be a passionate defender of Halo I suppose, but you aren’t defending Halo. You’re defending 343I, a studio that infamously makes every possible effort they can to sweep their mistakes under the rug, and erase all record of it.
The only problem I see is you thinking I have to be of the same mindset as you or my opinions are invalid and wrong.
I don’t see anything productive coming from continuing this dialogue further. So I’ll just continue doing my thing and you do yours.
I’ll bookmark this thread to remind me in 6 months or so, and we can revisit and discuss further when changes have occurred.
Take care.

It’s called disposable income. You spending yours on overpriced coffee, or sporting events, or who knows what, doesn’t make it any less irresponsible than someone spending theirs on microtransactions.
I’m not the one claiming that I’m not making poor financial choices. I’m aware of what disposable income is. I just have no problem in shaming people who utilize their disposable income to fund draconian systems.
It’s almost like (but definitely not as extreme as.) somebody claiming to be concerned with the problems involving genocide in communist China, but shelling out money hand over fist to support Disney.
shaming people who utilize their disposable income to fund draconian systems.
It’s an item for sale at an advertised price. You pay, you receive. It’s like any shop on the planet.
Draconian? Listen to yourself.
Okay. You shouldn’t be reimbursed for buying something at a bad price. Especially, if you knew that they were bad.
That’s textbook bad decision making. Unless 343 or Microsoft has an exception to this somewhere in the terms, why should you get reimbursed?
You took a risk, got nicked.
You have no right to try and shame people over how they spend their money. It’s not yours. End of story.
I get you’re angry but trying to bully someone into doing what you want is childish.
That’s not gonna fly with me.
Yes Draconian. Meaning of great severity. Because they’ve severely screwed up Halo in a most egregious matter. But if the word makes you feel some kind of way let’s change it to anti-consumer perhaps?
Furthermore, at an advertised price? Last I heard before the game SUDDENLY became free to play. We were going to be GIVEN THOUSANDS of multiplayer customization options without a pay wall in front of it.
Furthermore, at an advertised price?
Item is 2000 coins, 2000 coins costs $x. Simple.
I like the system. It is clear and gives nice new items every week.
We were going to be GIVEN THOUSANDS of multiplayer customization options without a pay wall in front of it.
Can you provide a source for this statement?
Yep. I’m sick of these people who make poor financial choices, crying about how they paid more as an early adopter and asking to be refunded the difference. These people need to live with the consequence of being X amount of money poorer because they have no impulse control or because “iT LoOkEd CoOL sO I BoUgHT iT”.
If it was worth that amount of money to you when you first bought it, then it should be worth the same amount to you even after the price changes. It’s YOUR fault for having no sense and paying so much in the first place.
Personally, I hope these people don’t get refunded the difference as a lesson. I’m betting most of these people are the ones who bought the cat ears.
I stand corrected… MILLIONS. Unfortunately the word that is every one’s favorite tube of viewing is banned on the forum. Wonder why!? Thus I literally cannot post the link.
It gets really annoying seeing people ask for sources, especially about big things that 343 promised. Just google it yourself, or even read the other forum posts if you want confirmation. Otherwise you come off as really incompetent or a corporate shill.
