Dunno’ if you mean me or others, but if me - I’ve got plenty of nerve to go 'round, always have.

haven’t read what you comment, there’s a lot of comments, get back to you as soon as a read everything.
my toughs, if 343i is getting paid the way it is, they won’t change it, and players who already paid are part of the problem, me as well, cause I bought the “premium pass”, but I’m not asking for “refunds”

Retailers aren’t going to give everyone store credit without be asked either.

I was giving an example of how stores give refunds. Store credit is the same as cash to a retailer.

And everything else is discarded on a half false / true technicality.

First and foremost, sure, the entire premise isn’t that all reimbursements is going to be through tickets.
However, to automate the process they need to assign a team on creating a system which need to be implemented into the game, a “one time use system”, which checks all accounts’ purchase histories, if such a history even exist on the in-game part of the account,

Then hiccups happen regardless, the system may not work in all cases, and tickets will be issued to look into reimbursements.
Even if everything does work smoothly, there’ll be people who miss it, think they haven’t gotten it and issue a ticket, or try to exploit it and get a second one.

There’s people involved in making a reimbursement regardless of how it’s handled.

Guess we’ll see what happens.

Surprised by the lack of empathy for fellow gamers on display here.

I haven’t spent a penny in the store and never will, no matter how low the prices go.

But I still think if I paid $20 for store items in the first few weeks of the game only to see them reduced shortly afterwards would be bloody frustrating.

To get the difference back to then spend on future store items would certainly remove that frustration and be a goodwill gesture from 343i

No one is saying they’re entitled to refunds though, just would be a good move in my opinion

I’m not surprised. Just said on my twitter that Empathy’s innate unless you’re a gamer, lol.

But yeah I’d certainly like a store credit refund for the difference. Which is something a lotta’ folks here seem to be missing? I don’t want 343i to lose money, lol. This premium digital currency you can only one in one place has actually zero real tangible value. So they do genuinely lose nothing.

When someone says that they deserve a reimbursement, and that it would be unfair if they weren’t, then yes, they are saying they are entitled to it. Especially when being openly satisfied with their purchases.
I don’t disagree that it would be a good move for 343, but they don’t owe it to anyone.

Y’all treat entitled like a dirty word.

Only when someone is claiming it without warrant.
If the bill of sale said you would be reimbursed with store credit if prices were lowered within X weeks of sale, then yes, you could legitimately claim you were entitled to the refund. But we all know that’s not the case.

343i’s not gonna’ thank this defense y’know.

I’ve said many times here that I think it would be a good move for them to do it, and I am certainly not defending a decision that hasn’t even been made yet. I’m no more of a 343 defender than you are.

Anyways, thanks for keeping it civil, too many around here don’t know how to do that.

I always have a good chuckle when people give grief to those who have spent money on the store. “You’re not allowed to spend your money on things I don’t approve of!”

That said, I don’t think many people who do spend in the store think the store items are ‘good value’. I’ve bought most items in the store and they are objectively overpriced - but I don’t care, because I like the item and earn enough to make it a negligible purchase.

It would be nice if 343 give some back if the prices come down, but I don’t think they will, and I don’t really care if they don’t. I bought the item for the listed price, so that’s what what I was expecting to spend on it and can’t expect a credit if it now costs less.

Clearly someone has never taken any business related classes at all.
It is basic business supply and demand knowledge.

LMFAO

While they’re at it, can Xbox reimburse me for a game I bought on sale, that then became Game For Gold two months later?

That’s exactly how that sounds. Worse even, as Games For Gold must be planned out more than two months in advanced, whereas we’ve known since near-launch that 343 were going to look at the store.

No, players that already purchased cosmetics don’t deserve anything. You spent money, and therefore agreed it was an acceptable price, and then got the product you wanted. The transaction was completed. You don’t get to eat your cake and keep it too. It’s going to feel gutting, sure, but that doesn’t mean you deserve anything. See this as a lesson on pulling the trigger too early on purchases.

Yeah business classes are, by and large, for people with privilege. I feel like contributing to the systemic destruction of anything good (capitalism) is an L in and of itself.

But hey.

I’m 29 and a welding student alongside my wife and we’re both doing exceptionally well. I’m either going to make as much as you or more than you by the end of the year.

I try. I do not always succeed. But thank you in turn.

My point is that most of the idiots on Twitter are kids.
Kids that don’t even do their research.

Finances my -Yoink!-. The only link between credits and Microsoft’s wallet is we pay them to push a button for credit dispensation. If a dev wanted to be a royal pain in the -Yoink!- there is nothing stopping them from just adding in a button that does that for free. It’s all an arbitrary creation associated with money, but not explicitly representative of it.
