If prices are adjusted: Reimburse us the difference in Credits

I wouldn’t say a slim majority. Across the 400 or so matches I’ve played, I’ve definitely encountered more people with shop bought items equipped than those without.

Also, why stoke the fire with this “X people are part of the problem” nonsense. We’re all capable of being civil.

I can see that, honestly.

I… Don’t think you know what Slim or Majority mean.

lol, so spiteful.

Listen, out of all the things Halo fans think they’re entitled to, this is one of the financially backable things to claim. This entire forum has been one big pool of entitlement the last few weeks and it is honestly totally crazy.

Mm, that’s not how it works.

Civility isn’t in half the thread’s interest, quite frankly. A lot of folks came in here trying to shame. Meanwhile I’m sitting here with my dog ears on my Spartan.

THAT was worth the money, charm, color and emblem aside.

Lol i wasnt trying to reply to you, i somehow pressed your icon by mistake and couldnt undo it.

My experience differs. I see people using Battlepass items mostly. And yes, a slim majority using store bought items. A lot of basic looking spartans out there.

People who pay the ludicrous prices for shop items are the problem, regardless of how many.

how is it a problem even with fixes for the store dropping in a few days?

It’s not spiteful, it’s just common sense.

You keep telling yourself that.

¯_(ツ)_/¯ Guess I’m the problem then.

Although I’d argue anyone willing to buy MTX is the problem, regardless of the price. Because now you’ve just given them an acceptable amount you’re willing to spend, so they will churn out smaller low effort shop items at a lower price point. Because they will have to make up for what the whales don’t spend after the change.

I would love for you to explain why you think you are entitled to a partial refund on money that you willingly gave away. Especially considering how you’ve openly expressed your satisfaction with your purchases.

I’ll certainly agree with you that the entitlement has been crazy lately (and no, that’s not a dig to this thread specifically).

Telling myself what? That I am responsible with my money I earned through manhours worked? Yes – I am responsible financially.

If you can’t do that – that’s not my issue, but yours. Don’t be hateful because it’s common sense. You need to start thinking of your money in terms of how you spent time making it, and not just throwing it out there. Especially when it comes to insane prices like on the store.

Poor financial responsibility. Instead of spending that 20$ on the store, invest it or save it. You need to think long term and short term. If you have a little extra money, for sure treat yourself… but don’t blatantly rip yourself off with this. It entirely falls upon you for buying it.

This is no different than kids buying a mustang with a 15%APR… you aren’t entitled to get anything back on an agreement.

There have been dozens of posts, throughout Halo Waypoint, that this would most likely happen. Start off with the scummiest system possible, then when it gets adjusted, “Oh, look, Microsoft loves the fanbase now”.
I paid $99 AUD for the campaign. If they needed to sell Halo, the way they used to ( all included ) for $200 AUD, I would have paid it. Inflation, higher costs etc., I get it. I don’t believe for a minute anything that is being said by Microsoft and 343. A massive investigation would have been done by Microsoft, as to how to make the most money possible. Splitting the game in half and making the MP free to play, coupled with a MACRO transaction store, would have been the outcome of that investigation.
Here’s the situation for us - MP is unplayable. Timeouts, DESYNC, BTB broken, I can’t be bothered. I play 1 game of bot boot camp a day, for the 300XP, then I simply do not subject myself to the broken shambles disaster any further. Bot Bootcamp is a frustrating enough mess as it is.
I have just finished my first play through of the campaign. It is unfinished and glitchy as hell. I won’t list all the jaw dropping garbage, that I saw in the campaign, there are plenty of Youtube videos for everyone to watch.
I haven’t bought a single thing from the store and never will. I can’t write here the exact words I would like to write here, as it would just be a complete string of - YOINKS
I switched from Nintendo to X-Box, solely because of Halo. If Halo was on Playstation, I would have bought a Playstation, that’s how much of a fan of Halo I am.
In summary - this is a YOINKING DISGRACE ! I’ve heard the term many times, modern gaming. That term needs to be changed to, The New Ripoff System. I’ve heard people say, "At least it’s not as bad as Battlefield 2042. Well, that’s just great. The rusty 1988 Model VL Commodore, that I have on my front lawn, is better that the burnt out VL commodore sitting in my back paddock.

Read the thread. There’s your answer. I don’t have to explain anything anymore.

Don’t you dare. We’re done.

You think 343 mistake was to set high prices?

Lol, theres something in microeconomics called price discrimination strategy.

They just targetted the high income consumer part and they got money off people like you.

Now they lowering prices to target the rest of the audience.

Smart move, as I really dont think 343 cared to do this and probably was forced by Microsoft.

Most of the people who spent one these predstory prices would most likely spend on the new adjuated market.

Probably not you because supposely you think you should be rewarded for your purchase decision, but others will. They don"t target a person, they target different groups of consumers.

Period.

That is a lot of assumptions about me, and the only correct one is that they got my money.

I haven’t spent a dime and have no intention of buying any Halo products period until substantial changes happen on the storefront. You made your financial choice. Practice some will power next time and don’t buy into a game store right out the gate.

I’ve been here from the beginning and my original thoughts haven’t changed.

It seems like your stance had shifted though.

I agree fully with the above, but the things you describe here do not entitle anyone to anything.

Again, seems you’ve changed your tune a bit.
You’re right, you don’t have to explain anything, but the best way to make sure your opinion is respected is to make sure it is at least understood.

You went from wanting compensation because “good business” to saying you deserve it and it would be unfair if not given.

No. You willingly bought into their monetization scheme while we abstained.

I mean, at this point, given they’re altering things? Yeah it’d be kinda’ unfair lol.

Stance is just an advancement. It WOULD be good business.

You know, I can never really draw a bead on whether or not I like you but I’m definitely starting to figure that out.

Stores will typically give you the difference between the original price and the sale price if the purchase fell within the store’s refund policy period. It saves the time and money it costs to process the refund and then resell the product again. The customer would need to initiate the process themselves. They’re not going to blanket refund everyone’s credit cards.

The Halo Infinite store’s policy is no refunds, but maybe they’d process individual refund requests. I wouldn’t expect them to refund anyone who at least didn’t ask for one.

The only thing that has changed is that the premise of your argument has come closer to reality. So, you’ve been emboldened into entitlement.
If it happens, so be it, but it’s not because you were owed it. Good luck with your campaign.

Oh it’s hardly a campaign. I don’t have the energy to run those these days, gotta’ be honest.

Naaaahhh they don’t need to. Store credit. I should CTRL+F how many times I’ve said Store Credit in this thread…

At least three. Let’s make that four.
