~flicks you a penny~
There’s your reimbursement my boi
They’ve announced they’re going to reduce prices. It will be interesting to see if you get anything.
You’ve effectively paid a premium just to have the same thing a few weeks earlier than others (if they now decide to buy it because it’s cheaper).
I hope you get something as it’s a bit unfair
Starting Tuesday, the Shop experience will vary week-to-week. We are focused on reducing pricing across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more.

If someone buys a game when it comes out for $60, they don’t get reimbursed when the prices go down, that is just stupid. You chose to spend your money on those products, not MS. If you aren’t happy, then that’s your fault
LOL, the nerve of this people
Absolutely not. You chose to pay that price. You’re part of the problem.
Simplest thing to do is just price anything new with the more reasonable prices and leave the small amount currently on offer as is.
You don’t deserve anything, man. You agreed upon the price once you purchased the items. Of course people are going to be mad at you, because you helped enable 343 to keep the prices as high as they are even when you knew most everybody was complaining about them.
Its better to simply reduce the cost of new items. That way no reimbursement debate required.
I’m assuming English isn’t your first language?
Not trying to be a azzhole, but that’s the OP’s entire argument, that if the prices are reduced he deserves to be reimbursed.
Yep I see that and if English were your first language you’d see I don’t agree.
A gamer gives in to his need for a Playstation 5, grinds up 1800 dollars to buy from your friendly neighborhood hoarder. Playstation 5s then get a massive restock and now everyone is getting them for the normal 499 price. That gamer does not get to complain to sony asking for 1300 dollars because he was not patient enough to wait for a normal priced one.
You’re correct, but this is an irrelevant analogy.
Ever hear of incentivizing early adopters? It’s essentially what the entire Kickstarter platform is built upon.
Not really a foreign concept. Hell, they could just give all of us that spent $100+ already theMark of Shame emblem and I’d be down with that. It’d be hilarious actually.
But I mean we can just make 1000 posts about it, and get what we want. 343i is all about greasing the squeaky wheel.
I hope we get something, that’d be very nice! Pretty unfair if we don’t. XP boosts at this point wouldn’t even be that useful, I GUESS challenge swaps would. But the difference in cost as credits, would be very, very welcome…!
I hope you know MOST players bought stuff.
She thank you lol.
LOL YEAH THAT’D BE REALLY FUNNY. Imagine wearing that and getting teamkilled for it, haha. Thank the Gods that Friendly Fire is off in everything but ranked lmao.
Nah but fr I want the difference back anyway. If I spent 20, it gets halved and I don’t get the 1000 credits back, I’ll be a little miffed but I mean I’m not gonna’ quit the game over it or nothin’, just feel a little unappreciated.
Honestly I don’t think the prices will actually change. The bundles will be split down to give the effect, but the price per item will probably stay the same.
The slim majority bought from the shop, i know. They’re all part of the problem.

Yeah, Yeah… you aren’t getting anything. you bought it for that price, willingly and knowingly. You contributed to the system that keeps it like that. Lastly, no business in the right mind would refund you like that… it’s like me going out and buying a meal for 12$… but they have a sale the next day same meal for 4$. Am I entitled for a reimbursement to that? NO.
Have some responsibility with your money.
If 343/Xbox/Microsoft/whoever decides to reimburse the difference in prices for any existing items, then good on them as a PR/customer retention move, but to say it is unfair if they don’t, or that any previous payers deserve it is a step too far into entitlement for me.
Yea and no, value is what people make of it.
Technically they lose nothing, but they’re potentially losing out on you shelling out cash, so that’s why they would not do it.
If it had no value no one would buy it.
