OP pretty much already stated they’d do it again if they had the choice to redo it.
Yet?
I’m fairly certain those who’d handle any potential reimbursement tickets would see that as a "“worthless” task, and would much rather spend more of their time helping people who actually have proper issues with technicalities.
I know I would roll my eyes if I had such a ticket from a person who spent money on things they thought were overpriced, and would do it again, versus a ticket on someone whose credit card isn’t registering properly, or something like that.
Average Infinite Enjoyer: Sure, I’ll spend $90 on armour
Average Infinite Enjoyer seconds after that: Wait could I get my money back and get that for $25
DX
You’re the one pretending to be bruised and battered. You chose to spend an amount of money you now claim to take issue with. Was that your plan all along?
…No. I… at no point pretended to be beaten and taken advantage of lmao.
I just think if the prices get lowered as a general “we messed that up sorry” apology, then people who bought in should probably get a reimbursement with this fake money that we can only use here that has no actual real world value.
I do find it, pretty funny that you’re acting like I’m trying to pull some underhanded consumerist bs though.
The existence of this thread is an admission that you want 343 Industries to reverse a bad decision you made. And while I’m not opposed to the idea, you, as a presumed adult, need to learn that you can’t always be bailed out by others when you make bad decisions.
They theoretically want the difference back if items change price. Essentially they’re asking for a reimbursement with all their previous payment up to the new price being reinstated as credits.
Kinda but like that
Yeah basically! I’m not asking for actual cash back, just store credit! Since it is literally without any real value it costs nothing to hand back as a, “Hey, as a token of our appreciation…!”
not a, “Waah waah, I want my buckeroos back” I’m not hurting so badly I need to chase money from a free to play FPS, I do work on art for commission.
Never said I was entitled. Thanks for using the right pronouns btw.
I’m just saying it’d be a pretty cool gesture on 343i’s part.
Never once believed I was owed it, just think it’d be a nice thing for them to do for future customer loyalty/retention/show of good will towards the community. They add a few digits to people who paid too much, for no cost, we get some extra cosmetics and they gain the invaluable “Customer who appreciates the gesture and may spend more here as a result” thing.
And you’re welcome. I have to say that I’m proud of everyone else for seemingly doing the same (though that could be to avoid breaking forum rules). Either way, it’s refreshing.
in store credit would be best im currently $120 into this game $70 of that is on micros so getting half of that would go towards the next season
that would be extremely generous tho so i see them instead keeping the current item prices but when new stuff comes out that new stuff will be cheaper its easier to ask for less money then it is to give money away
They better give us back our difference, spent too much on that store. That is only right. 343 would really spit on their players face by not reimbursing.
I almost feel like this is like purchasing something just before a sale is announced.
I purchased Beyond Light a day before it went on sale for 30% off. Should I be reimbursed for the 30% I spent?
How about spending money on the Legendary edition of Borderlands 3 and only a year later seeing all the DLC and special content available at a fraction of what I paid? Should I be reimbursed then too?
You bought something prior to changes being made to the system. 343 honestly owes you nothing, it was your decision to put money into something you valued enough to put money on.
This comes down to patience, perceived value, and missed opportunities.
Patience may lead to better opportunities.
perceived value leads to price/immediacy trade offs
missed opportunities stems from both of these concepts being taken advantage off too early for various personal reasons for taking the leap to purchase something
