How do you think they will look?
There may be different forms/variants of Precursors to keep things diverse. They may look floodish, or like the humanoid creature at the end of the concept art trailer, or something even darker that no one has guessed yet.
The Precursors were a collection of hyper-evolved races, not just one.

Thank you, that furthermore establishes the possibility of the Precursors being the main enemy.

Where is this said again? Thanks for the info bro.
The only look of a Precursor given to us in great detail is that of the the Prisoner of Charum Hakkor. The down side is that he isn’t actually a Precursor. We can guess that he was modeled after a real Precursor.
A human on NeoGaf posted this from the concept art trailer.
I Haven’t Seen It This Clearly
He then went on to (rather brilliantly) hypothesise this.

There are better picture attempts out there than his but I think I can still get my point across with his. In his picture and many others that give more definition and detail, it shows many physical similarities to how a Precusor is described to look like. We know that Precursors have barbed tails, four arms, an exoskeleton like armor, wings(on some Precursors but not all), and arthropod like heads. From the pictures like this we can tell that it has four arms, a barbed tail, what looks like armor, and what look like wings. You can’t make out an arthropod like head because we can’t see the head. This is enough proof to say that without a doubt we will be encountering Precursors.

Primordial says in the second Forerunner book, in response to Didact saying “and you, you’re the last Precursor?” “The last of this kind.”
Primordial also isolated the individuals who created the Forerunners as if they were a seperate group when he said “those who created you were hunted down, but some escaped.”
In any case, I doubt the Precursors themselves would be the primary fighting force: they’d be way to powerful. The Flood is almost practically confirmed as the primary fighters.

When he said last of this kind he was refering that he was the last living Precursor/flood gravemind. Remember, the Primordial was a flood gravemind made up of mainly dead Forerunners shaped to look like a Precursor. When the Precursors created the flood they created Precursor look alikes. All of the others died except for him, until the Didact turned on that machine and turned him into a pile of dust.
