If people don't like infinity slayer...

Because all the people who wanted to play a classic halo left, and the ones who liked infinity settings stayed. I used to have around 40 halo players on my friend list, they all bought and played halo 4, 2 of them still play halo 4 when they are not watching netflix and the other 38 quit halo 4 because they didnt like it for reasons that have been posted millions of times before (Ordnance drops, instant respawn, -Yoink- 4v4 maps, no classic playlists, no filter to search game with good connection etc.

Do you get my point OP?

Let’s be honest, how many AA’s actually are bad? Is Thruster Pack bad? Is Hologram bad? Is Hardlight Shield bad? It’s only Jetpack and Active Camo which cause trouble so I think the AA’s would be better without them

time zones, global championship, other fun games
these things

I just wish there was a way to tell all the fans that left how much halo 4 has changed. It would be nice to see atleast 40,000 people back. One can only hope.

I dunno. Some things I like about infinity like radar and being able to choose weapons. Other things like AAs I don’t care for. Because I don’t really play with a competitive attitude now I can enjoy infinity. I just laugh everytime something rediculous happens.

The only things I really hate about infinity slayer are some of the loadout choices like the boltshot and plasma grenades and personal ordnance.

> > I think people who quit should maybe come back, try Legendary Slayer or whatever and see if they enjoy it. My friends stopped playing in April I asked them to try the new stuff and if they don’t like it they don’t have to come back, they love Legendary Slayer, BTS and even enjoy Infinity Slayer, you’ll never know unless you try

What’s sad is how impatient they are. It took Halo 2 nearly a year to become as great as it was. And Halo 3 was GOD AWFUL the first 9 months before Slayer BRs was fully integrated and both TU’s had come out. The fact that Halo 4 was fixed in less than 6 months just shows how stubborn and selfish those players are nowadays. “If it’s not perfect as soon as it’s out, I don’t want it.”

I know a lot of people that just flat out stopped playing Halo 4 due to the myriad of problems with its Multiplayer.

The forums are, as many people point out, the vocal minority. However, that’s only because the majority of gamers that didn’t like Halo 4’s changes just left the game without a second word.

I just found out this playlist existed. It kind of interests me but Halo 4 still drives me away from giving it a shot myself.

I’d be inclined to agree with that copy-pasta, if IS/BTIS haven’t been the most populated playlists since launch. Their populations shrunk down just as the overall population has. Just check on the one, the only, the Halocharts, not always been 100% accurate, but the population history shows this.

I came back just because of Legendary Slayer. I’m a true Halo fan and I always listen up on news and updates just in case 343i takes their heads out of their brown eye. Unfortunately most people left because of how horribly crappy the game is. I also occasionally play capture the flag, BTB, some Halo Championship (because my best friend wants me to play it)

This thread makes no sense, if people liked infinity setting then this games population wouldn’t be so low. If legendary had been up at launch with BR starts this game would have 10x the population it does now…

The people who don’t like Infinity Slayer already left. At launch, it was the only Team Slayer playlist available. Most people didn’t like it, so they left.

Now, 343i introduces Legendary Slayer, and the people who would’ve played it before are no longer around.

Do you honestly, and I mean really, think that those who are no longer around would enjoy Legendary Slayer in it’s current state enough to stick around and keep the playlist populated?

> Well, that and the forums don’t repirsent the global population of the Halo series in itself.

This may be true, but the people on the Forums are the only people brave enough to open their mouths and voice their opinions.

So I think that the people on the Forums (and the various other Halo communities) are the only people that should really be taken in account. Even if we don’t cover a large amount of the entire fanbase, our words will reflect in the minds of those who remain silent. In all truth, we speak for those who cannot speak.

Still cracks me up how Legendary Slayer is like, what, the 10th most played playlist everyday? Even when it first came out on Day1, where everyone usually plays the newest playlist, it barely had that much. Maybe a hundred more than it does now?

Here’s how the population goes everyday from most popular to least, on average:

  1. Big Team Infinity Slayer
  2. Infinity Slayer
  3. SWAT
  4. Big Team Skirmish
  5. CTF
  6. Flood
  7. Action Sack
  8. Legendary Slayer
It just cracks me up how the classic, most popular, “Halo-saving” playlist isn’t even that popular. It’s not even close to Infinity Slayer popular.

Its population clearly represents how many people on these Forums, that just love Classic and praise it, truly are. I always knew the population on these Forums were low, but this low? I see so many people here complain about how Halo 4 isn’t classic Halo and that’s why it sucks. But then I go on Halo 4, look at the playlist they’ve been asking for since Day1, and it doesn’t have that much people in it.

I’ll hear the excuses, but those excuses are usually invalid (at least the ones I’ve been seeing lately).

Legendary slayer is getting it’s population sucked by the global championship playlist mostly especially at the beginning of every week.

I’m afraid I have to disagree on that. I’ve been keeping an eye on the numbers out of boredom lately, and if there is any single playlist that could be said to ‘buff’ the numbers of the GC playlist, it’s Rumble Pit. ‘Why?’, you might ask.

Plain and simple, GC is Rumble Pit’s replacement for the time being.

The players that enjoy playing FFA without the hassle of Regicide have nowhere else to go for the time being to get their ‘fix’. Rumble Pit usually held 2-3k players, that’s MOST of the GC playlists population. Since it’s launch, it’s held roughly the same population, while Legendary Slayers population continues to decrease, and the population levels for both Infinity and Big Team Infinity Slayer return to about where they were before the competition started.

Come Monday, when the week resets for the competition, you’ll see the numbers for the GC playlist jump up a bit, as it’s flooded by those that want to “Put in their 20 games and be done”, and I expect Legendary Slayer will remain about the same, while IS/BTIS and possibly SWAT, as it’s the featured gametype this week, take the population hit for a bit, before once again returning to normal by weeks end.

I would even venture to assume that some players in the GC playlist aren’t registered for the competition, are ineligible, or simply don’t care. They’re there because Rumble Pit isn’t up right now.

Of course not. I enjoy Legendary Slayer a lot more than Infinity Slayer, but I still can’t bring myself to play it because the gametype is broken. I stick with non-Infinty, non-broken gametypes like Doubles Pro, Team Snipers, and SWAT. And CTF because I want that Vanguard armor. :stuck_out_tongue:

> Still cracks me up how Legendary Slayer is like, what, the 10th most played playlist everyday?

It’s no surprise to me that Infinity Slayer continues to have the most population. Almost all of the people who’ve stuck around this long are people who like Infinity settings.

Halo 4 was released in the beginning of November. The Weapons Tuning update was released on June 3. That’s 7 months.

I agree with your point; I’m just making a slight correction.

> “If it’s not perfect as soon as it’s out, I don’t want it.”

An AAA title that costs sixty–Yoinking!–dollars shouldn’t be heavily flawed on release.

Why is it ‘entitled’ to expect a finished product in this day and age, especially one so costly?
