Imagine any scenario you want, but let’s pretend that Palmer dies and doesn’t show up again in any of the Halos or spinoffs. Would it bother you? Or would you not really care? Or would you be like…YES THERE GOES THAT ANNOYING VOICE IN WARZONE. This question doesn’t have a lot to it. Feel free to have fun with it.
I wouldn’t mind. I personally think she isn’t as bad as people make her seem. imo she has a lot of potential but as of now she’s dull.
Why the hate for palmer, she really isn’t that bad of a character. Although having the original announcer for Warzone would be tons better!
My reaction to Palmer dying would probably be…

But how could she die without showing up again in any of the Halos or spinoffs? Do you mean like if 343 said “hey in case you’re wondering why commander Palmer isn’t showing up in Halo 6, it’s because we decided she died”? Yes of course that would bother me.
Not so much because she died, but because I hate it when important things happen offscreen between the games, like when the story of Spartan Ops was completed in some comic book and Halo 5 made no mention of it. To people like me who only play the Halo games and don’t care about the comics or books, that made Spartan Ops feel like one of the plot lines that was introduced and promptly dropped in Tommy Wiseau’s The Room. So if commander Palmer died offscreen, not even in a spinoff, I think everyone would feel that way about her.
It’ll be like Johnson probably. Dramatic and sudden shock value for no reason, other than to make things more exciting.

I wouldn’t really mind Palmer dying, just as long as it’s replaced by a better voice actor and character.

My dream scenario for this is Palmer has just taken on heavy fire and is down. My spartan shows up and takes out all of the hostiles around. Palmer then removers her helmet and thanks me for the help. I kneel next to her and whisper softly into her her ear “the enemy core is vulnerable” while i discharge my last pistol round into her skull.

I don’t think I worded it very well. I meant that she’d die in Halo 6, and wouldn’t show up ever again. It’d bother me too if she died off screen…for a few seconds.
I really don’t understand the Palmer hate. Why would I want her to be killed off?

If Palmer died it would be a lot of loss to the plot. And the place of sgt Johnson would be empty.
