If no flyable Pelicans, why not scenery ones?

As my title states, if dropships like the Phantom and Pelican can’t make it into multiplayer due to balancing issues/other, why not at least allow us to spawn them as scenery pieces in Forge?

Two variants could be placed in the item menu:

  • One with landing gear deployed and engine off
  • Another that’s animated to have active thrusters meant for a mid-air placement to act as if it were hovering using the “Fixed” physics option

This would give a bit more atmosphere if creating a map where the two teams were supposedly “deployed” at spawn from them, or to simply create set pieces.

Yay? Nay?

YAY.

They have a mech being assembled in the middle of “warhouse” so I don’t see why not

Of course! There aren’t nearly enough scenery pieces.

Yes…

Sure, why not.

I would like to be able to place destroyed vehicles in forge to make a map look abandoned and war torn. Maybe even dead bodies in the vehicles.

Nay, i prefer the type of pelicans that have crashed and are part of the map (Valhalla, Highlands) or the ones outside of the boundaries like on The Pit or Rat Nest.

This and I think we’ll be able to fly Pelicans in Halo 4. Remember that Easter Egg in Reach where you could fly it in New Alexandria? I think we would’ve been able to fly it in Reach but they didn’t have enough time to perfect it and to make it less clumsy for the pilot and passengers so they just left it as an Easter Egg.

They werent crashed on the pit or rats nest…
