If there is no split screen co-op, I will not be buying Halo 5 OR an Xbox 1. I figured I’d wait until Halo 5 came out to buy an Xbox one, maybe get a bundle package…but now? Psshhttt. Not even worth it. Don’t get me wrong, I love, absolutely LOVE Halo multiplayer, and it’s the main reason why I play the Halo series… But other than that, I’ve had glorious times playing split screen co-op with my bud. We get high, crank out legendary in a weekend. It’s absolutely fantastic. Now? He has to buy and xbox and game too? Than we have to do it online??? You’ve removed one of the funnest parts of halo out of the equation here 343. Eventually my friend would have bought the Xbox 1 and halo for multiplayer, as with my other friends/family. Ever since hearing the news on co-op however, I’ve convinced, and you as well with the co-op, to not buy the game OR the Xbox. Maybe this was Microsoft wanting to increase gold and xbox sales…IDK. But id rather play on 30 fps with a bud, than a lonely, dark room online with him at 60 fps. I mean cmon, since when has split screen co-op been about performance!!! Big mistake

All I’m taking from posts like these is that you think Halo has no value outside of splitscreen, and if that’s the case how could you have possibly been a fan in the first place?

Why do people act self-righteous when it comes to complaining about video games in development? “No, you should do this, not this, -blam!-.” 343i is full of people who can’t spend there entire schedule dealing with one thing out of a hundred, not drones who buzz away making the next Halo game. The lack of split-screen is very unfortunate, but 60fps does matter, and so does the graphical fidelity and other things such as the game being able to handle all the enemies on screen at once (People believe it only relates to the graphics). I’m no expert, but if they had to cut split-screen, they had a good reason to do so, and they knew it was a tough decision to make in the first place. They aren’t doing it because they want to steal your money, because that’s plain stupid and antagonizing the company because they didn’t do something the way you wanted them to do it. Whether or not you get the game is ultimately up to you, but don’t discourage yourself over one thing out of many.
Also you should have put this in the split-screen thread. Prepare to get locked…
I really don’t see how somebody would only buy an Xbox One for ONE feature in ONE game. I’d never pay $400 for split-screen.

Why tou are such a butthurt what’s your problem? He voiced a serious problem that the game has and you are like “Oh i don’t care to hell with your needs, you want socialization while you are playing your favorite game. Screw you!”
