Hello there,
I’m wondering if the golden elites are always there in the levels they appear in or if you’ve killed them once, will they not respawn again? I know were one or two are but I’ve already killed them before so need some confirmation.

I believe that there is one golden elite each time you play a campaign mission (or at least I can never find a second one) but they do have several different spots that they can spawn at. So yes, if you do kill a golden elite in a campaign mission and you want to play the mission over agin, another will be there, somewhere.

The Golden Elite Rangers (officially known as B.O.Bs; a reference to Bungie’s previous game series Marathon) always return in the same spots even when you kill them.
The thing is you have to be quick about it or they will disappear.
The fake B.O.B on Oni: Sword Base (the second level of the game) shows up when you return to Sword Base. He’ll run to the landing pad where you started the level. It’s usually a white colored General or Zealot.
Sometimes he doesn’t show up outside. Which means…
He’s inside Sword Base.
Make your way up past the covies until you can see where the shotgun room is (that’s the room that’s below where the Elite General is) Cross the low bridge (not the one by yellow vent) and you’ll find the fake B.O.B in that room.
Careful in both instances though; they both dual wield Plasma Rifles.
A golden ranger messed up my legendary LNoS on my brother’s account, control room + general + 3 spec ops elites all trying to kill me…

Why is the B.O.B on Oni: Sword Base “fake”?
He isn’t a Gold Ranger Class Elite…He’s a White General.

Well then. I stand corrected. But I do know he’s always white.

Simply because a BOB is always a Gold Elite Ranger and while this enemy type is always white with randomized armor (which usually appears as a General class Elite when i play).

incorrect. the B.O.Bs are always Golden ranger Elite apart from said fake BOB on sword base. as for someone saying it -Yoinked!- up their legendary campaign on LNoS, here’s another story… was doing a Mythic Difficulty speed run through Winter Contingency. This happened to be the very rare occasion for me where a grunt would EMP my low budget warthog and the BOB blew it up -.-

Haha just thought i get involved LOL. although i will correct myself… ive always seen that fake BOB as a general. If anyone has any video proof… feel free to put a vid in your fileshare and message me on XBL. GT: Metal karima
This challenge is particularly difficult on Exodus. On Exodus and New Alexandria taking down the gold elite in a banshee is much harder. I did it on NA but in Exodus it only appears twice and is hard to get either way you find it.
