How well do you think Halo 4’s sales will be if Iron Wolf (aka Black Ops 2) doesn’t come out until Spring?
basically every one who is a fan of halo will buy the game regardless, the only people it will draw away from halo is probably new comers people who has never played halo and probably had halo 4 as one of their descisions in mind to buy

I think Halo 4’s sales will be great, but it’s not that important; the game will still be great no matter how many people buy it.
I hope Halo 4 comes out before so all the fickle kids who buy every game can get it. Then once Iron Wolf comes out they buy that and BOOM! Weed out the men from the boys.
Heres how I have always looked at it when it comes to sells
Halo has always beat cod in defiant sells and Storm sells
defiant sells: preorders 3 months in advance. The numbers show those who truly want the game.
Storm Sells: These are called storm sells because after game release this determines the games life after launch. Its ruff for most games. Halo how ever has never burned here. not even reach
I don’t think it matters much at all, Cod player will buy CoD and Halo players will most likely by both. New customers will probably buy both when they get fed up playing the other title ^^
Their both big enough to co-exist, most players will buy both, and if there is any doubt they’ll buy CoD over Halo anyhow since Halo has new devs, lower population, is an exclusive and is harder to master.
The only thing that will truly influence sales is how 343 handles multiplayer since SP can be done over a rental. CoD has it’s sales and people were afraid of how BO would affect Halo but it didn’t really, the sales will come slightly from new players but what will really change the market is if Halo 4 pushes away their fanbase sine they will be the ones making up the majority of the sales.
They’re calling it “Iron Wolf” huh? I never heard…
Anyway, I don’t think it matters. Halo players will buy Halo 4, CoD players will buy Iron Wolf. Myself, I’m getting both.
You said ‘if’ Black Ops 2 comes out in spring? Impossible. History has shown that they are just going to come out with the new COD game, a week or 2 right after a new Halo title. I’m honestly surprised the COD series isn’t dead with these yearly releases…
Regardless, Halo is Halo, there’s no comparison. Even if people flock to Black Ops 2, they will come back to Halo at some point. Everyone comes back to Halo. Always. The sales are going to be fine if marketing for Halo 4 is done well.
The fact that Iron Wolf. never existed leads me believe you know nothing about video games. People will buy both games regardless.
