We don’t know, and it’s best to assume the worst because at least then we can let 343 what’s a good idea and bad idea. What if everyone said “Oh, it’s only in one playlist”, and then it’s actually in all of them?

Instant respawn can’t mean a whole lot different than what it is: immediately respawn as soon as you die, if you so choose. Many people will do this.
I am making highly-educated inferences based on what I know about how Halo medals work, how Halo gameplay should work, and how casual insta-spawn makes other games.
So yes, I do know things.
It’s more than likely going to be an optional aspect of games. Something you can change in the gametype options. I really can’t see this being added without that being the form of implication.
As far as we can tell, we still cannot change gametype options in online Matchmaking. So that point is moot.
