If infinite were 2 collab w/doom,what would u want

sorry for the cluttered title, had to make it 50 characters lol.

basically what would be a good collab item between Halo: Infinite and doom? would you want a Doom inspired armor? the Prateor Suit ported straight into Infinite’s MP? I could see a Doom Eternal inspired map being an awesome thing to add to the game. what’s yall’s ideas?

Unless they’re assisting with adding CE levels of blood splatter, or Flood dismemberment I’m not interested. Armor should at least look like it belongs in universe.

To some extent. I’m actually keen to see what they can tie into other universes. Colours / schemes from other games… other Universes (eg. the MCU)… sporting teams… advertising tie ins.

I would love to see Iron Man or Captain America themed armour. Not comic book garish though… just a nod to the colour schemes and / or general patterns.

And I would micro-transact the Hell out of any tie in with my favourite sporting team.

Someone in another thread wished for a Mountain Dew themed coating. Yes please.

It still needs to look like something a Soldier would be proud to wear into battle. But if we can have Spartans running around in hot pink… they can have the Doom guy helmet.

A reimagined set of doom armor with a vague description referencing it like “Designed by Misriah Armory as an effort to pre-empt unforeseen enemies, this modular armor is equally effective against flames, explosives, traditional arms fire, and plasma.” Misriah Armory is stationed on mars and (unless I missed something) all of those damage types listed are ones used by enemy forces in doom. Fire from arch-viles, mancubus, and lost souls, explosives from revenants and cyberdemons, traditional fire from zombies, spider masterminds, and chaingunners, and plasma from the other demons and arachnotrons.

Along with this would obviously come a DOOM coating, which would be sick. Brown + Orange + Green with accents of grey would make for cool colors on any spartan.

If we’re going for a real stretch, a DOOM shotgun skin for the shotgun that uses the classic toy-based DOOM design.

I will say that I draw the line on adding new weapons or vehicles that are doom references. Messing with the sandbox in order to facilitate game cross-pollination is, in my opinion, a corruption of the point of such references. You should show love to other franchises while also paying respect to your own game, and not cannibalize your own game for the sake of other franchises.

A killstreak/powerup that gives you the super shotgun. If not in regular multiplayer, then at least in a Flood/infection gametype or in a Firefight (if Firefight is gonna be in the game).

im in love with that description for a doom inspired armor lol. but i can already see the clickbait youtubers making 10:01 long videos explaining how doom and halo are in the same universe hahahaha

there has never been a collaboration in halo with armor from other games, but I think it could be cool.

The Hayabusa is technically a collab with another game iirc

I don’t know, it has never been officially announced.

Hayabusa Armor was a collab with Ninja Gaiden, a series that originally started out as Xbox exclusives. I would love to see the Praetor armor, Night Sentinel armor, and weapon skins from Doom Eternal as options for our Spartan. If it’s purely cosmetic, then the sky is the limit when it comes to options–especially if it can get Doom fans to play Infinite and vice versa. Microsoft wins either way.

Yeah I think the map could be kinda like the infection map from h5, I would also love to see armour and gun skins and stuff

We already know non-canon armor is going to be a thing with Yoroi so a Praetor inspired Mjolnir suit would be pretty cool. Aside from that maybe weapon coatings that make use of Doom imagery or something like that. Maybe even maps inspired by Doom levels?

We already know that armor from the live events or “fractures” are going to be deemed non-canon so that they can be outlandish sets.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if we eventually start seeing cross-promotion armor like the Praetor suit, or COG armor from Gears of War showing up in them. It’s not like Halo’s never had cross-promotion before, that’s how we got Hayabusa armor, Nicole in Dead or Alive, and the Arbiter in Killer Instinct.

I would be down for Halo-fied Onyx Guard armor in Infinite.

I don’t think too many doom fanbois will be crossing over even if some corny pay money armor is on offer .
The combat loop is just so very different between the titles about the only thing they have in common is the word shooter in the description of genre

if a game i liked got an item inspired by it in another game which is of the same genre and is on game pass, or free for the MP I would definetely try it out lol. and tbf most doom players have played halo before and it wouldn’t be too outrageous to think it would bring a lot of new players in to try it.

The Hayabusa armour from Halo 3 was a collaboration between Bungie and Team Ninja. Dead or Alive 4 got Spartan 458 / Nicole, we got the Hayabusa armour from Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive in return. 343i will be collaberating with other studios imo. I believe DOOM armour is an obvious choice to use as an influence.

I’m an enormous fan of both game franchises. So I think there’s some credibility to pulling in Doom fans. Especially since Doom Eternal doesn’t have a proper PvP deathmatch mode, it only has the asymmetrical Slayer vs Demons mode.

Weapon coatings and charm, and maybe a DOOM inspired armor coating where it’s covered in blood and has the mark in it’s chest or something
