My first update to the game would look like this
-DMR has been removed from the game
-Removed the ability to back out once you’re locked in to a game
-Removed JiP
-Increases the BR damage to make it a 4 shot but reduces firerate
-Removed Plasma Grenade spawns in loadout
-Removed Camo as a loadout from the game
-Host will now be given to the person with the least amount of quits, not the most
-CSR will now only match you against players of your skill level
-CSR now visible in game
-Fixed Killcams
-Fixed the beatdown system which would sometimes cause beatdowns to not register
-Fixed many broken spawns and removed instant respawn from the game
-Dynamic spawns no longer exist
-Ability to drop the flag
-You can no longer throw the oddball
-Recoil has been removed
-You now become unscoped when shot
-Boltshot removed from the game
-Progression rank increased
-Progression rank is now a colorful picture and not a number
-Full teams can only match other full teams
-Added ranked and social playlist
-More updates to come in the future

It was possible to add all that into the game so it’s possible to fix it. in the Halo world 343 is god almost anything is possible if they are not lazy.

Wouldn’t the Halo 4 UI stop you from doing some of those?

You’re aware that they couldn’t do most of that, right? Never mind the fact that it would require a large patch, any developer would be critically lambasted for changing their game (especially with so many things removed) post-launch.
If I was in charge of Halo I’d call to Activision studio and ask if they could help me copying their best selling franchise even more than Halo4 yet has…

balance the weapons
make it possible to drop a flag

remove plasmas as a starting grenade
same for plasma pistol as a sec. weap.
make a map pack with the best H2 and H3 maps
make a classic playlist
bring back oneflag and bombs
destroy Mantis for good
remove and forget killcams

To be honest i don’t care how critically judged i’d be, fire me if you must but if i was in charge of the game i would at least save the game before i’m fired.

I agree that a lot of those suggestions would improve the game, but it just looks terrible from a business standpoint, and that’s why we can’t expect things like that to be done.
However you have to think of everyone who enjoys these weapons and mechanics though, you’d be tearing apart the community more then providing a TU.
Heres my fixes however
Nerf the DMR’s RRR (which 343 is doing)
Make the BR a 4SK and keep its current RoF (which 343 is doing)
Remove Plasma Grenades from Loadouts, and have them be either staic spawns or OD.
Nerf the Boltshots alt fire to a burst which would take down a player shields.
Intergrate some Tact and Support Packages into the game, and into OD with specific power weapons.
Re-evaluate the playlists, intergrate Infinity into Social, and bring Traditional back as Classic, intergrate the 1-50 into Classic, while keeping progression in Infinity.
Those are just some of my fixes.
If you just cater to everyone who hates Halo, it’ll get you nowhere, however pleasing both crowds is the way to go.
If I was in charge of Halo…
-Remove bullet magnetism.
-Plasma grenades can only stick to players, not vehicles.
-Plasma Pistol can still EMP, but it will not lock on.
-Buff the Pulse Grenade.
-Make it so that is no longer easier Snapshot someone with the Beam Rifle than it is to actually snipe them.
-Make CSR pair players with others of the same level.
-Give Halo Waypoint the ability to edit custom games without making an entire in game menu.
-Remove the charge ability on the Boltshot, instead, it will be an accurate pistol.
-Make PO drops rewarded based on the K/D spread, making the loosing team a way to even the odds.
-Add descoping
-Break the Playlists into categories:
±Casual: a mix between current and classic games
±Competitive: strictly classic CSR based
±Reimagined: Contains Infinity based games
±Action Sack: Contains community generated custom game types and maps
-Allow a Join Community Session Feature which will allow players to open their games to the community.
I wouldn’t get rid of the DMR, just make it, the BR, Carbine, and light rifle pick up weapons on different maps.
That way, you could have Assault Rifle/magnum/frag grenade spawns on all but specialized playlists.
Why don’t you get rid of the killcam instead? It does not belong in halo in my opinion. The dead should not be omnipotent in gameplay.
Some good things but stuff like removing weapons, no. I like the DMR more than stuff like the BR so I should be allowed to use it (I tend to use the light rifle though)

- Reduce it, but outright removal would make the game almost unplayable. This isn’t a PC game.
- The stickyness is actually what makes plasma grenades fun, and their effectiveness against vehicles gives them a more defined niche. I just wish players didn’t spawn with them.

You forget Bullet Magnetism it´s a HUGE problem in this game. I agree with all the rest. They can do all of that if they want but they don´t want, they can release a bigger update like this in a new DVD for example. Main update 10/20$ for example

The Casual Playlists are a mixture between everything, Competitive is back to the Halo 3 days, Re imagined is all of the CoDified stuff, and Action Sack is all of the Community created stuff, game types like race, etc.
As for the Community Sessions, I always thought it would be logical if one could open their game for others to join (which currently exists), but there would be a list showing all of the current games that you could join(sort of like the file share.) It would also be a great way for community creations to end up in matchmaking based on the over-all popularity of them.
