Last season i placed Plat in Team slayer, team arena and diamond in the others. The issue i have with placing so low is that its a nightmare to rank back up. Last season it took me about 200 games winning and losing to rank back up after placing Plat.
Lower ranked teammates just do not have much team work which gets annoying when you are trying to be a team player.

I’d say find a good team. Honestly it only takes 4-5 wins in a row to move up a rank, sometimes it only takes me 3 wins.
100% agree with you. I play with my team in slayer and arena and when we all get placed they all get onyx and I am cursed with the deadly platinum, crazy as I get mvp 50% of the time. It really turned me off to arena as it was just so stupid and made no sense. I’ll say this once and I’ll say this 1000 times. Halo NEEDS to go back to a 1-50 rank system.
Back in my days you start off as 1 and you have to rank up from that point… and now people ar complaining about ranking low so they have to PLAY the damn game to rank up? whats wrong with you. Some times i jerk arround during the pisition games in order to rank low because i love to rank up… just go and play CoD since there is no rankyng system to worry about. oh and

You focus too much on ranks. Same with anyone else. It’s a simple, shiny icon on your profile that’s worth nothing but ego. If you know you’re a good player, you can beat a lot of people, and you can achieve some pretty impressive feats in-game, then the rank itself is worthless.
The only reason you would need it for is earning other players’ respect, because the community is pretty harsh. But if that’s the case, you shouldn’t play to their game, because those types of people are being extremely judgmental of others…for very arbitrary reasons.
One’s rank is not always equal to one’s skill. That’s what it should be, but it isn’t always the case (Reach probably being the worst). These ranking systems aren’t flawless and there are always hiccups. Anyone who looks at the ranks and assumes they’re 100% accurate all the time, they’re pretty narrow-minded individuals.
And even if you aren’t good at the game, so what? You don’t need to be right at the top, just to have fun at the game. You’re not always going to be good at everything in life. If you’re expecting yourself to be 100% awesome at every activity you participate in, your standards for yourself are too high. Not everyone’s meant to be good at Halo. And as much as the MLG fanboy idiots on here would try to make fun of you for it, it’d be their fault for not understanding how reality works.

Im not saying anything bad about lower ranks, i just like the way the competitive side of the game plays.

That is a really bad mindset to have, saying that nobody would care if people leave to play other games. Considering Halo 5 regularly places around 9 to 11 on the most played Xbox Live games list, that means the population is not there. You would be encouraging the population to dwindle even more. Which then means playlists get consolidated, till there is only Team Slayer, Team Mixed Bag of Various Game Modes, FFA and BTB. Oh, and maybe the occasional social playlist.

you dont need 150k people to keep the multiplayer alive… you need like 1k… just look at halo 3… And im not interested in changing the others opinion… But what i dont like is the “give me attention or i will quit” attitude… we are not ur friends nor your familly. So why posting that on such a hatefull comunity forums?

Im glad you make up your mind. To be honest i encounter the same situation (the only difference was that i dont like cod, and i was willing to stop playing everything). The rankyng system is trash. but not in the rank up/down aspect but in the way that the teams you get playing solo are trash and are not in the same rank (not even close). But once you start jerking arround the idea of having fun while achieving a rank that you love and care you will start enyoing nore the game. I love so much arena that even with my 100% package lose (conection problems) i still play the game in regular bases. The lag i experience is not greater than the love i have for arena. glad you changed your mind

i played cod for like 3 days i think when it came out i ended up just doing the campaign and uninstalled it lol It was my brothers. Cod is not a game i would get into but if you were new to FPS games i can see how it could be fun though.
i played the new cod for about 3 mins…quit half way through the first multi player game, has not been back in my xbox since that day.
