I start Halo. Go to invite some friends. After I close the guide, the game will freeze for what seems about 5-25 seconds. Sometimes it lasts upwards of 2 minutes. One time it was froze so long I even got disconnected due to inactivity. It normally only freezes for between 4-10 seconds, but rarely freezes for longer.
I am really, really sick and tired with this because I cannot find a single other person with this problem. You Google “halo 5 Xbox guide lag issues” and you get nothing but internet lag issues. I can record this and show you guys if it comes to that.
So recap. ONLY Halo 5 does this. I play 7 other games and none of em experience this problem. If I’m on Halo 5, and I open the guide for whatever reason, after it’s closed, the game will freeze for anywhere between 4 seconds to 2+ minutes and continue after that. Also, if I’m pressing whatever button for whatever reason when it lags, especially joysticks, it keeps holding that button or buttons while it’s frozen. Legitimately walked into death a few times because of it.
Any fixes?
The servers are so bad tonight… I’ve been dropped from several games, other games we’ve started 3v4 (I’m partied with 2 other players)… half the time I lag out… now I’m stuck in black screen lol.
Even my CONTROLS switched up and pulled something funky a few games ago and button/inputs switched for my first 5 deaths of the game. Something is seriously messed up right now.

Nope. This has NOTHING TO DO WITH INTERNET. I shoulda said this does this while the Xbox is not plugged into the router as well. This has been happening for DAYS.

Halo 5 has yet to go a full month without some sort of problem popping up. This game is far below the standard set for AAA games and it has remained there for more than a year. I wouldn’t expect it to get any better now.
I also have the same issue. It also occurs for me when the postgame stats menu closes. Custom games postgame stats are the worst taking up to two minutes to unfreeze. This has been happening for 2 weeks now.
Are y’all in the Preview Program by any chance?
