I know sometimes it’s on accident, but I feel especially in the early rounds of firefight that people with scout warthogs and almost always ghosts splatter their fellow spartans so that they can get more time to boost their score. This is just me venting some of my frustrations but I’m quite sick of it. When you’re stuck with a bunch of people who aren’t taking the game seriously, it kind of ruins it. I know there are protocols in place for misconduct on multiplayer, but I feel that splatters should have their own separate category.
I’ll admit, I’m guilty of this myself, but in all fairness, I wasn’t aiming for my teammates. You see, people do this not to boost their score. It’s to boost their REQ level. They want to go ahead and get their BR’s and Wasps and stuff early on before the later rounds so they can have access to the better stuff quicker. Quickest way to do that is to simply just splatter everything. As you said, however, splattering teammates is almost always an accident. You can certainly tell it’s an accident when the guy who killed you pauses for a sec and quietly thinks to himself “Oh crap, not again.” I always do that.
