If I get put into a game I don't want to play, but I can't leave it since I'd get banned for doing so, I simply don't play the game

attrition and KOTH seem to be the only games im getting.

Mauler and Commando SWAT is horrible. Behind you on that 100% but after reading this I think my priority would be getting a proper way to report AFK or people like you because, however unlikely, I’m sure there are people out there that don’t mind playing with those weapons.

I agree the challenges are partly to blame, instead of PLay stronghold or oddball matches i would love to see the challenges replaces with “earn 3 minutes of cumulative objective time”

Or earn Objective medals, like MCC does it. You pick a ball up you get a medal, you defend a carrier you get a medal, you stop someone you get a medal.

This ensures simply PARTICIPATING in the objective will allow you to progress.

Progression in the BP and challenges shouldn’t be lumped together in the first place. While progression with medals would make sense in the BP challenges should be more specific, but not 1in 30 chance that you RNG the right game mode specific.

I reinstalled today to see how the new season is and how it’s content is supposed to last 6 more months. Just did 6 games and then uninstalled again. Until they remove the gamemode specific challenges, I’m not even gonna bother . Did the 5 SWAT games(never liked it to begin with), then did 1 game of that cheap crap BR mode, and that was it.Didn’t AFK, but sure as hell didn’t enjoy my time spent there, especially since some of my deaths in swat were quit questionable, with some people prefiring . Almost forgot how much of a chore playing this game is ,and such a shame since it’s got the best gameplay of all Halo games .

I haven’t properly tested this, but I think getting kicked for idleness avoids getting banned. As opposed to betrayals, suicides and basic quitting. So if you’re not wanting to play a game, just don’t do anything for about 5 minutes and it’ll kick you.

Not 100% sure on this, but I’ve had some instances where I’d have been banned for leaving and being idle and getting auto kicked didn’t ban me.

Challenges are meant to actually challenge you. Surprising I know! Lol

The only “challenge” to the challenges is getting a game that will let you do them, which is completely out of your control and just random chance. A challenge that is simply rolling dice to get a certain number isn’t rewarding or fun.

There is also the solution of making challenges available to compete all modes including PvE and PvP, none of this BS of have to do it in a certain mode. I have a poll going.

Can you answer me this?
If 343 doesn’t care about my enjoyment of the game, why should I play it? The entire point of buying a game is to derive enjoyment from playing it. If I’m not getting that, then what’s the point of playing? If I get put into a game that I’m not going to enjoy and isn’t rewarding to me in any way, then I’m not going to play that game.

And the solution to this for EVERYONE is to allow players to always be playing the games they’d enjoy. Everyone wins.

Crazy idea: This can be true AND I can still call out losers on the forum that quit/afk.

Well, in the end your callouts are BS because of already stated circumstances. But sure, go ahead.

Here’s a question: Can you simultaneously hold the viewpoint that 343 needs to do more to prevent cheaters from using aimbots AND also say that cheaters who use aimbots are pathetic?

“Yada yada yada…. Playlist health.”

You missed the point. In one scenario, an action causes a reaction. In the other one, there is no action responsible for the reaction… it’s just an action by itsell. I let you figure out which one is which by yourself. ;D

Actually, you’re the one that missed the point.

I never said these scenarios are 100% analogous. I’m asking you if you can simultaneously hold two specific viewpoints and you refused to answer. And I don’t need time to figure out why you didn’t engage with the question ;D

The banhammer will rightfully strike you down for unsportsmanlike behavior

What’s unsportsmanlike about not participating in something you didn’t choose?

Apparently we are supposed to just kowtow to the holy RNG (which seems to be weighted against giving you modes you need for non-Fracture challenges) and to hell with whether you are playing a mode you enjoy or not. It’s not about your fun or time, for some reason.

This is partly a problem of creating too many modes, and a shrinking population isn’t helping. Arena shooters have spoilt us with variety and choice. I saw it in another game when they tried to funnel players into voting. Players ditch the modes they don’t want to play. I actually prefer playing against bots in modes I like than playing modes I don’t like.
