If I get put into a game I don't want to play, but I can't leave it since I'd get banned for doing so, I simply don't play the game

I didn’t say I would stop watching the dumpster fire get worse and the few knuckleheads making fools out of themselves for supporting it. But I will stop playing, yea. Let’s hope somebody does their job and puts Slayer in ranked.

No no no. The game is dead. You said it. There’s zero reason to ever hope for any outcome other than the complete destruction of Halo Infinite. Surely you’re not going to play Halo Infinite ever again, right? That ranked slayer match you played 1 hour ago is gonna be the last one ever. It’s all Elden Ring from here on out. Yeah?

Until there’s Slayer. The players deserve more than that though. Like every basic gamemode that was in Halo 3 on day 1.

No you said the game is dead. You said it’s a dumpster fire that can only get worse. You said that anyone still playing the game is a knucklehead. If it’s dead, there’s nothing to be done.

Are you saying that if conditions are right, you’ll come back to playing Halo Infinite? I’m not very clear on what your goal is here.

The game lost its entire playerbase faster than Halo 4. There’s a few thousand left, and that’s only because of free to play and crossplay. Every other match somebody quits and no one plays obj. So it’s a dead game. It isn’t just the fault of the the developers but the people here that enable them.

We’re going in circles. You’re back to square one. If it’s a dead game, then you’re never playing it again, right? There’s nothing 343 can do to redeem it.

They can redeem it if they listen to their actual fanbase and not streamers on YouTube which is what they’re doing now.

So it’s not dead. Got it. Carry on.

It is dead lol. You get matched up with same players back to back already and it just came out. Cope some more.

I feel like you don’t know what a dead live service game is. If it’s dead, there’s nothing that can be done by the dev team. The playerbase has totally moved on and no updates can fix it.

Given their track record there’s high a probability that they’re unable to save it. It’s live service without service. Wake up dude.

Bruh, you’re saying contradictory things. If the game is dead, it can’t be saved. You’re reiterating now that it won’t be saved. Game’s dead.

But then, if I ask if you’re ever going to play again…

Here’s what I think. You’re on a soapbox and you’re whining about it being a dead game until you get what you want, which you said: “until there’s slayer.”

We both know you haven’t quit and you’re not going to quit. We both know because the moment you got pressed on if you’d ever play the game again you started waffling around. Carry on with the soapbox and all the empty platitudes while you continue to jump into Halo Infinite week after week.

That’s exactly how Reach was with earnable Cr per game with tasks being a background thing. People have been clamoring for that system back since forever.

I complained multiple times about the new game mode and suggested the way they communicated the battle pass lasting “forever” was lame (specifically toward free players).

The difference between you and I is that I can critique the game and still enjoy it; I can recognize they still have a lot of stuff to improve and give 343 credit when they do something right. You, however, operate on a single dichotomy that goes something like this:

I don’t like this thing: Game Dead. You like this thing? Corporate shill.

I skimmed through a handful of your replies in other posts. You’re just here to complain until you get the itch to play Halo Infinite again. Can’t blame you: it’s an easy way to farm likes on this forum.

4 games, 6 years, 500 million, failure after failure. Don’t be surprised when others call you out on your naivety.

They already are tasks, since its the only means to get XP still, this includes the daily challenges too.

Crazy idea: 343 as a game developer could hire 2 guys, let them sit for a few hours in a room and brainstorm how they could avoid quitter and afk players to a minimum. Theres something called game design and user experience… 2 mechanics one can USE to solve problems. But hey… 343 rather goes with an outdatet, proven to be useless system because counting all these BP dollar bills is way more time consuming… and probably more fun.

edit: it has be been discussed over and over again. In H5 and here. There are simple solutions to avoid these scenarios… they don’t even have to hire people. They could simple listen to there users or still proven mechanics from other games.

You can get exp for just playing matches as well…

Challenges are meant to actually challenge you. Surprising I know! Lol

Via a daily challenge system that rewards based on participation, not an actual XP system that takes into account contribution & participation as well as skill and performance.

plus the dailies decrease in XP the more you play, so youre dis-incentivised to progress due to gaining less and less in terms of rewards.

The challenge system is fine…when youre not forced to gain xp through that, since it is the only major way to XP it is not a challenge, it is a task, challenges are optional, if you want to in MCC, in Halo Infinite it is the only way to truely progress, which breeds frustration with the system when its inherently restricting what you want to play.

Its like asking you to walk to the store, easy right? then it forces you to perform in a circus, do a drive by robbery and go to mars just to get some milk, its not fun and i just wanna play, i do not want to jump through hoops just to “progress” the main system because its the only way to do so, its not fun and not healthy for the game.

I’ve develped a strategy to not get banned and it seems to be working so far. You can quit every second game if you are only playing one game mode (quick play), if you are swapping between some (quick play and Last Man Standing) you can quit 2 games in between. While it works for me, use at your own risk.
