If halo xbox one is just like classic halo...

then it will most likely fail. 343 needs to stick to its roots but it truly needs to innovate as well. if not the competition will blow it out of the water. do you guys think it should stay classic or if it should innovate but keep true to its roots?

Personally disagree. Numbers don’t lie OP, in terms of population and DLC sales this game wasn’t the most popular. Top that off with the vocal minorities feedback and you’ve got the answer to your question.

I’m not saying we need a game identical to Halo CE/2/3 but we do need some of those elements to return in a fusion of classic and new.

All of 343i’s additions to multiplayer–Personal Ordnance (killstreak care packages), customizable loadouts, weapons and abilities for those loadouts unlocked through a progressive rank system, and perks–were not innovations, but rather direct copies from Call of Duty. They changed the gameplay in a way that takes away from the established gameplay instead of complementing it.

For Halo Xbox One to retain more players than Halo 4 did, it will need to go back to its roots and innovate gameplay mechanics that complement the gameplay, not change it altogether.
