If Halo Xbox One is Halo 2 Anniversary...

Would you be excited?

Out of all the games, that’s the one I’d want remade the most. I’d still prefer a Halo 5 though.

I would cry, I’d feel my childhood return to me.

I’d definitely prefer H2A. After Halo 4, I can’t really get myself hyped for Halo 5.

No, I wouldn’t be excited. Although Halo 2 is considered by many as one of the best in the franchise, I want a NEW Halo game, not a re-hash of an old one.

Since Halo 2 was rushed and left, as Bungie said, unfinished; I think we can all agree that it deserves the care it never got to begin with and nice new coat of shellac that would be an HD re-imagining.

And what a way to boost the Halo 4 population by introducing a Halo 2 playlist?

Actually, I hope Halo XB1 is not Halo 2 Anniversary only because I think having Halo 2 Anniversary for the 360 makes a lot more sense.
I mentioned above that a Halo 2 playlist in Halo 4 (like Halo Anniversary & Reach) would boost Halo 4’s population, but that couldn’t happen if it was on the XB1.

Also, it’ll probably be a while before I can afford an XB1, so the 360 will do nicely.

I would be excited but reserved so I don’t get my hopes up. I love Halo but I don’t want to expect that this is going to be exactly like the times when I was young.

Usually games I hype up for myself that I think will be like my childhood, never are.

I really have mixed feelings about the possibility of a H2A. As much as I would LOVE to play an updated H2, I wouldn’t want remakes to become a trend with the Halo series (or any other series really tbh). Because if H2A is in fact coming, what’s stopping Microsoft and 343 from making a Halo 3, Reach, and even a Halo 4 anniversary edition in the future.

We need more innovation.

I was hoping for a Halo 5 and the focus kept there, though this could absolutely help the overall general population rise up again…

Same here, I miss this game, Xbox Live was so worth it just for this game, I would buy an xbox one ONLY for this game! They better not screw it up

It HAS to be Halo 2 Anniversary. If next Halo game to be released is Halo 5, it’ll probably suck. The only way H2A can be GREAT, is if the multiplayer returns in all it’s glory, if it’s just the campaign it won’t be the same.

I want Halo 2 more than Halo 5 if Halo 2 comes with original multiplayer…Because probably Halo 5 will be -Yoink- like Halo 4, having crap ordinance, armor abilites,OP weapons and other COD stuff…

ITS THE ONLY HALO I NEED EVAR!!!11!1!

But seriously, I have been playing it any way I can for the last couple of years. I play on XBconnect and on Vista. It is my all time favorite game. Hands down. Best overall collection of maps, (although Tombstone isn’t on Vista or my H2 MP content disc), best level playing field gameplay, largest skill gap available in any Halo and tons of fun glitches!

For a game to have glitches in the base game mechanics and make it better because of it… That’s something no future game design could ever achieve. These glitches provided an outlet for more skilled players to stand out against the average player. They all had a certain risk/reward scenario that put more emphasis on gameplay decisions! I could go on for days about this game…

PLEASE RELEASE HALO 2 ANNIVERSARY!!!

No, I want the original game engine and a MP that isn’t restricted to another game’s engine. HCEA on Reach’s MP didn’t feel right IMO. Nice try at pop boost though…

no. no. no. and more no… if they do a Halo 2 HD remake it should not be like what they did with Halo CE. It needs to be a full HD remake INCLUDING MULTIPLAYER. I do not want to play a Halo 4 version of Halo 2’s matchmaking, Halo 4’s population will never return.

Halo 5 will be their next chance to prove themselves, but the only way to remake Halo 2, is to simply give us the game we bought in 2004 with updated graphics and the ability to play it over xbox live on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

I’ll be very happy if it is Halo 2 Anniversary. That would mean Halo 5 gets another year of development, I’d be able to do online co-op for every Halo game, and the second best Halo game gets a nice big graphical overhaul.

I think it is going to happen either sooner or later, I mean it is the /only other/ Halo game on the original Xbox. It was deep, and terrifying in many ways. The Forerunner tech looked outstanding in Halo 2…

As for the multiplayer? Could happen, but with original graphics only and no HD overlap. It’ll probably be bare-bones (which is good) plus every map included
