If Halo Infinite ends up being another Halo 5

If Halo Infinite ends up being another Halo 5 and flops super hard would you still stay with the halo series.

Yup. Halo 5: Guardians has a lot of offer even if the Campaign is somewhat lacking and I don’t doubt Halo: Infinite will have something for everyone like the previous games. While the games are the meat of the series, the books and films are also entertaining, so to leave the series entirely would be somewhat over dramatic, in my opinion.

yes, cause while I had my issues with 5, I still had some fun with it.

Definitely.

Halo 5 multiplayer is awesome.

The Campaign suffered from being changed from the pre-game advertising. By itself it was ok though. Just needed more Chief.

H5 as a complete package is pretty darn good tbh. And it has some of the best weapon balance in the series. I think most people that didn’t enjoy it a ton was because it’s so darn hard. You very rarely get to “take a match off” and still win. If Infinite can deliver something like H5, but with a heavy CE and H3 influence, I’ll be super pumped.

I still regularity play H3 and H5 multiple times a week. When you play them concurrently you notice a lot more similarities in how a match progresses through ther opening, middle, and end than people give H5 credit for.

I’m too invested into the serious to stray…

I expect Halo Infinite to launch with problems. It’s just the norm with basically every triple A game these years.

as long as 343 provides support and fixes for these issues I can stick with the game.

Honestly it really depends. I don’t care if it flops or not. Well, I do care in that if it flops that could mean the end of the series, but I mean if it flops but I personally love the crap out of it, yeah I’d still be interested in future releases. But if it’s a mixed bag like Halo 5 was it really depends. If it’s the story that is a flop again, then I think I might be inclined to say I’m done with the series. If the story is amazing but the MP is trash, I’ll be a little disappointed, but I’ll always have MCC to play Halo MP (and Halo 5 assuming 343 does a real PC port, not that garbage Halo 5 Forge kinda port). If it’s another Reach and the whole package is trash, then yeah I’m pretty much for sure done.

I’m prone to being in abusive relationships. So sure.

I love halo 5 , play it most weekends, it’s my to go game, I just hope they keep ground pound and Spartan charge , I hope they mix up forge were we can add in rounds off enemies to kill, think off the possibility (think killing floor 2) ,if it flops, I’ll play campaign once like normal, but since it now has more to offer I see myself doing campaign more, but multiplayer is were I will be 99% off my time on this game,I can’t wait to see how it will run on all versions off the Xbox one,

Quite unlikely since 343 has said they learned from Halo 5 and got things right.

Yes, I will watch this series sink but I’ll be on the boat. We shouldn’t want Halo: Infinite to fail.

Halo 4 and Halo 5 had differences. I doubt they would make the same game twice. That being said from what I gather Infinite will be different. If a game has good gameplay then I’ll enjoy playing it. The story of a game is a bonus to me.

The multiplayer was great in Halo 5. If they can add more old school Halo to the multiplayer it will appeal to the oldies which will bring my friends back to the game. Regardless I will stay with the franchise however most probably will not.

Yes.
When it comes to Halo, I’m all about the story. Its a fantastic blend of military scifi, grandiose space opera, and ancient mystery, and suites me just right.
I’ll always pick up the latest Halo game to experience the story, and its the multiplayer that keeps me around after.

I hope they learned form h5s story and used it as an example on how not to write a story. I hope they lighten up on the skill based matchmaking in social so it’s not 100% sweat all the time, as well as good players not punished with long search times everyone deserves to game not just lower skilled players(a lot more of them than higher skilled). Halo mcc has it right social is social and it doesn’t matter and ranked has party matching and skill matching. Keep them seperate don’t link em

Well, I liked Halo 5 so I’ll probably stick with Infinite. However, I doubt Infinite will be much like 5. Equipment’s a thing again which looks cool, and you can’t really have 5-style gameplay and equipment.

I am far too committed to exit at this point to be honest. If Infinite pulls an H5 level flop I will firmly believe that will mark the death knell for the series and over the next half decade we will seethe community shrivel up unless the TV series or Extended Universe can somehow pull off a miracle to keep the series limping along.

I will gladly go down with this ship and keep my many fond memories along its journey from it hayday to its demise, but I wouldn’t expect anyone but the irrational fanbase like myself to stay after that.

I am cautiously optimistic, but yea there’s a lot riding on the next title

There is no way I’d leave the series, even if Infinite somehow ends up being WORSE. I had tons of fun with 5, and I definitely don’t think it’s a bad game.

Don`t worry, Brian Reed(Halo 5 writer) is no longer working with 343ind. The main writer now is Paul Crocker, he wrote Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City. So I have faith that Infinite is in good hands.
