If Halo 6 is clasic What game should it play like?

So lets say Halo 6 plays like classic Halo. Which of the first 3 games would you prefer it to play like or what would you combine? For example Halo 2 with Halo 3s Equipment or like Halo CE with Halo 3 gunplay.

For me: Halo 3 is basically perfect. I like the base movement speed and the projectiles. However the speed could be fixed like the MLG gametypes in Halo 3 could be added for faster gameplay. If they could make it more consistent then that would be perfect. Halo 3s artstyle is also good to me but i do really like CEs(orginal). Halo 3s forge is good but obviously it would be nice if they based it off Halo 5s however maybe a basic mode could be added like Halo 3s forge.

A combination of maps like all 3 original games would be good. Sound track wise all the games have excellent soundtracks so i have no preference but having Marty O’Donnel back would be amazing.

Ohhh yes ranking system I completely forgot! That sounds like an interesting game.

Yeah i agree i hated tge credit system in Reach but the level of customisation was great

I hated the unlock system in that game, so I never want to see that part of it return.

Yeah i agree credits are stupid but the depth is nice. Armour should be unlocked by acheviments or challenges.

In Halo 3, you earned your armor through completing various challenges like beating the Campaign on Legendary etc… In Halo: Reach, however, unlocks were handled via how much time you put into the game.

I’d much rather unlock an armor piece via finding all of the Campaign skulls as opposed to investing thousands of hours into the multiplayer as the Halo 3 way of unlocking things actually put meaning behind the unlocks.

All the armour was just a grind. No challenge apart from playing alot. Compare that to halo 3 where you had to unlock challenges and do acheviments.

I think it would go both ways because both ways would be rewarding the player for investing time into the game. I agree that there should be armor unlocks for players who earn achievements or accomplishments. Armor that would make them stand out from everyone else in multiplayer just as Recon did in Halo 3 and the Haunted Helmet did in Halo Reach or the Inclement Weather Armor Effect or Blue Flaming Helmet for preordering the Legendary Edition. Either way, it gives the player something to strive for even though it would require quite a bit of grinding. I wouldn’t say it’s crazy but it’s borderline just as Gears of War’s “Seriously” achievement was where you had to earn 10,000 online kills. That was a serious grind.

You’re right, it was a grind but it kept people coming back to play which was the key to that. It’s wasn’t too easy nor too hard though it was borderline. I thin a mix of both Halo 3 and Halo Reach would be good

Yeah that could work i guess but i would still focus more on earning armour via acheviments or challenges. Even through commendations would be a neat idea.

For me thwt would not be the best thing ever but it would be better then halo 5

Halo 3 Movement, Halo Reach armor customization, Halo 3 equipment/abilities and Halo 2 weapon mechanics. I really don’t mind the newer art direction and think it looks great in some places, however not so many armor permutations would be nice and keep top tier armors top tier ( looking at you Helioskrill). I agree with everyone here for the most part.
