Not very fit, I wouldn’t buy the -Yoink!- thing if it was kinect only.
Please no more kinect only fetures 343I its so stupid
The only necessities I see with the Kinect, is the built in microphone, and the sweeping of the hand to move dashes. Other than that, I have no urge to jump and dance to music in my house looking at a screen. (:
a game is for the connect? how do you connect it exactly?
I thought there was already a thread on this subject…
Oh, and you may want to change “Connect” to “Kinect” in your title there.
Connect…
PS3 for me if that happened. I don’t like how MS is shoving kinect down our throats. There’s a reason I like Xbox better. Motion control is not not one
Kinect*
Depends on how it is used.
IF it is like in Halo: CEA then I wouldn’t mind as it makes Kinect users more things to do, but if there are say mini-games then I would mind.
bottom line:
As long as it is a small side thing, then I don’t care.
Voice commands and optional, limited motion control would be cool, but full gameplay compatibility wouldn’t even work, let alone be feasible. I hope that Halo 4 does not require Kinect (as I said, it would make for a terrible FPS game), or use the Kinect features, if at all in any unnecessary ways.
Buy I’d agree. It feels as if Microsoft is starting to neglect the people who bought an Xbox for its exclusives (Halo, Forza, Gears of War, Fable) in favor of people who want to use their xbox for party games and things that don’t even relate to games (I’m looking at you, FiOS).
Microsoft may say the Xbox 360 is an entertainment device, but I think the main focus should be games. Additional features are fine, but the games should take priority.
Pfff, don’t think MS and 343i are so stupid to actually make H4 fully playable using Kinect.
It’s not the right device to play a shooter with, and it’s not the right title to experiment on to that degree.
But I would definetely expect more, and better, Kinect integration on top of the controller in H4. Kinect voice + motion controls to navigate through the Forge menus faster? Hell yes. Kinect voice and motion to control Theater: bring it on! Kind of useless, but still: Kinect to move your character around in the Armory so you can see your armor up close from all sides? Nice.
Kinect to navigate/interact with Terminals? Really wouldn’t mind that.
Not the kind of things that will make/keep you fit.
Not the kind of things that will ruin a game (as they’re optional and on top of controller controls…even though some people are so incredibly short sighted and childish that they will call anything that even mentions Kinect the worst thing ever…)
Just some awesome optional controls for those who have Kinect, that can make some elements (esspecially Forge!) run a bit smoother.
If Halo 4 is Kinect only, I’ll just have to buy Kinect, I hope to god it’s not though, although if it is, they should make it so, if you start dancing, or scratching your man-area because it’s a bit itchy after you’ve been up all night with your girlfriend, then your spartan should also do it, and they should also make a massive map editor, like far Cry’s map maker, and have customizable voices and height and such!

I don’t even want to know.
> and they should also make a massive map editor, like far Cry’s map maker,
Definitely, but not as Kinect exclusive.
> and have customizable voices
I don’t see why not.
> and height
Nope. Same hitboxes and for all.
> and such!
Depends what this refers to.
I’d rival Hercules himself.
Most players would be stuck in an infinite armour lock pose. LOL
I would still use the controller. The real way video games are supposed to be played.
I would still use a controller, partly because my Xbox is kind of set up like Rooster Teeth has their Xboxs at their office, and I really don’t care for standing at my desk, because my screen doesn’t change height that easy, and it doesn’t get tall enough.
But as far as being fit, I already have to be fit, military life is very hard.
If it was for a future kinect that was very, very accurate that fps games would be fun to play on it, then I would join a gym and work out all the time
Whats “Connect”?
January 7th, 2013: We regret to inform you due to over 3000 people being killed playing Halo 4 on the kinect, Halo 4 is being taken off the market.
