Reticule bloom was the worst decision Bungie made in Halo Reach. Trying to add new features in order to mimic the success of other console shooters was idiotic. Factoring in the luck/chance of bloom to a competitive shooter is SM4444RT, it will also slow down the pace of da game YAAYYY. Halo is popular because of what made it so accessible and enjoyable in the beginning of console shooters. The sequels then added in new weapons, better graphics, expanded on the great story, etc. They definitely made some mistakes with Halo 3 (mainly the battle rifle), but other than that it was consistently Halo as we know and love it. Reach changed too much, for the worse, and repeating those mistakes will cost Halo a lot of it’s loyal supporters. Only by sticking to the core of what made Halo so great in the first place, will Halo 4 have a chance of being #1 played game on xbox live again, the #1 competitive title for MLG, ACLPRO, EGL etc, AND A PLACE IN MY DISC TRAY.
(Oh and bring back the backflip after you snipe someone in Halo 3)
Not that such a wager will ever bear fruit, but I bet you the sum of $100 that you–and everyone else who threatens such an ultimatum–will not, in fact, be done, regardless of whether or not bloom returns to Halo.
> > Mimic what? I’ve seen other games mimic Reach more then Reach has mimic anyone else.

> Well Neo Kaiser I thought that answer was pretty obvious. But just for you - Reach mimicked other games by having bloom and loadouts.
Which games? Especially for such broad examples that isn’t legally owned by anyone.

I’d pick the game up, then it would collect dust like Reach, after that I’ll probably stop buying it just like I stopped buying CoD.

Reticle bloom has nothing to do with spread. Halo 3 had spread but NO bloom.
Bloom is the faster your fire your gun the more the actual weapon spread increases. That was never really the case in Halo 3 (at least not for the headhsot guns) cauz no matter how fast you were firing the BR the spread never changed.

Considering I sold Reach after a month of playing it. I gladly accept your $100 wager.

If neither Halo 4 nor Halo 5 nor Halo 6 ever find their way into the disc tray of your Xbox 360 and/or future Xbox console, then I will find some way to remit you the money.

You clearly don’t have a very vast knowledge of Halo Mechanics. BR spread is similar to Bloom but we have no control over the -Yoink- BR spread, unlike how we have the option to pace our shots to eliminate the bloom.
But still i would gladly take the nearly insignificant BR spread over bloom any day. Hopefully Halo 4’s BR has no bullet spread at all. Wouldn’t that be a treat.
I wouldn’t say reach ‘Mimicked’ anything. All games are forced to adapt to the ever changing fanbase. they simply looked at the success of other games and integrated certain aspects. It’s not like they are copying anyone. yeah reticule bloom sucks, but it’s just a mistake they made, no need to get so uptight about it. No game is perfect, and if you want something to complain about go play CoD, because everything about it is wrong.
Sadly, I kinda have to agree. I’ll still follow the game, but I’ll cancel my pre-order and wait for the inevitable fallout to figure out if it’s actually any good or not.
> What I’m concerned about is if they put the BR back into the game, will they keep the DMR, Sniper and Pistol in the game.
Never post again.
But to actually respond to your question. Hopefully the DMR stays out and the Pistol stays in. Or do something like in the Halo 2 beta where the BR can be a 1 shot or 3 shot burst gun. Sniper will obviously be in Halo 4.
