The thing is, they aren’t changing things for the sake of change. They are changing things for the sake of survival. FPS and the gaming market is evolving, moving forward. If Halo doesn’t evolve and move with it, it will be left behind. Instead of leaving Halo a death after Reach, 343i took the reigns and are moving it forward.
Yes, some things worked. Yes, somethings didn’t need to change, if this wasn’t 2012. The gaming market is changing, the original Halo likely would have ended up very different if it was released today. Arena, Halo’s original, isn’t the main focus today.
How aren’t the changes fitting the new Halo? There is a canonical background for everything, and it looks like 343i is putting a Halo feel on everything quite nicely. Thats just my opinion, but I’m pretty sure we can all agree on something along those lines.
We can all agree that blind worshipping is bad. We can also agree that blind hating and bashing is bad, can we not? From ehat I’ve seen, there isn’t much blind worshipping going on. You are, however, seeing a lot of excitement from the new announcnements. Deep-down, everyone has concerns.
Shooting down constructive critisism is bad, yes. Shooting down blind hates and rages, however, can be good for the community.
343i has done nothing to sway your concerns? While I can’t convince you to love Halo 4, I must urge you to take a closer look at some of the improvements. Above all, save final judgement for the final product.
