I’ve been trying to think of a comprimise for the Anti-AL and Pro-AL people. How about this?
You can use Armor Lock, but once you come out, your shields are completely depleted, and need to recharge.
How about no AL at all? That makes more sense IHMO
Sorry, but Armourlock should never return. It’s a terrible idea. Invincibility cannot be balanced. Simple as that.
I REALLY hope 343i doesn’t put AL in Halo 4.
If armour lock does come back it should not be invincible so it should be like a overshield and it should deplete your shields and you should be able to use it while falling to absorb the impacted if they bring back fall damage which I really hope they don’t.
Invincibility does not belong in a FPS, end of.

I can think of a few things with no bad language. They involve giant microwaves, beartraps, car crushers and wood chippers

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind it in custom games. But would very much prefer NOT to have it in MM. I’d take Sprint over AL anyday.
How about this. Armor lock will not come back. 343 knows how much people hate it and wouldn’t do that.
a loooong time ago, i suggested that an EMP blast or a charged PP blast would take an armor locked spartan out of AL if hit, instantly. There is a way to balance it.

I’d actually be totally fine with AL as long as it was a very short burst that allowed you to survive something like a rocket, tank shell, or grenade. It would also have to be one-time use, and a long recharge.
