If active camo AA promotes movement...

Might as well give make overshield an AA too. Players get a small, non-regenerating shield boost, but move slower. The temporary health boost allows for players to break setups but only once per spawn. Furthermore, because it does not regenerate, players can’t camp as effectively.

Instead of creating frustration because you’re trying to shoot something that can’t be seen, overshield is permanently visible on radar and emits a bright green glow.

Sorry, but no. Both armor abilities would be and are terrible for gameplay. Like, to the point that I cannot fathom why they existed in first point. Ever.

Now as powerups…

I completely agree, but assuming 343 keeps armor abilities, overshield would be better than camo.

Camo’s problem is the fact that moving at all basically makes it useless other than a radar jammer.

I’d say axe or at least lessen the movement penalty, make the active time shorter and make it so that firing your weapon or grenades drains it faster or blows it completely.

That way, camo users can actually get some movement out of using it while forcing them not to use it as a cheap advantage in range combat.

Camp should be for moving round the map undetected, getting close or helping you retreat.

At ranged combat, where the first shot is so important, camo users have the innate advantage because they are almost invisible and their opponent must land the first shot without any aim assist, which would be harder than sniping. A weak overshield accomplishes the same goal as camo without the fundamentally -Yoink- point that someone in an FPS can turn invisible at will… and not be hacking…

Camo is supposed to work as a stealthy AA, not something to make it really easy for snipers. I’d much rather have it as an equipment piece like Cloaking, AC as an AA just does not seem to work well.

Waits until one shot and presses insta-oversheild button

I must not have made it clear… You SPAWN with a NON-REGENERATING overshield. And what you described is basically the hardlight shield.
