If A Halo 3 Anniversary Comes Out,

would you guys want it as an add-on as part of the Halo: Master Chief Collection or a separate game?

I am interested in what you guys think!

I hope that it’s a separate game because Halo: Master Chief Collection is too buggy and unplayable for me!

I would like it in an add-on tbh, having them all in one disk all together is nice, BUT! It would draw away a lot of the halo 3 fans from MCC and it will benefit the Halo CE, 2, and 4 fans by giving them a bigger chance to not get Halo 3 voted

I honestly hope it’s a separate game that the MCC owners get a discount on considering they still haven’t fixed the MCC. The reason I hope it is a separate game is because despite the fact that I enjoy Halo 3 I am seriously sick of it almost always winning the vote whenever I search big team battle or team Slayer by myself. On top of that the rare occasion Halo CE or 2 classic does win a bunch of who I assume are Halo 3 only kiddies leave and or betray and quit. H3 anniversary would hopefully get rid of a lot of these kids.

I think like how people were asking for a Halo 3 PC, we face the same odds for a Halo 3 Anniversary…

Though it would be nice if they do one, can they at least add ALL the cut content? (Missions specifically)…

Hello, u bring good points, Here is were 343 went wrong and I strongly resent them but 4 now here is the solution for 343 and what should be done, as far at what is wrong you all have that knowledge. So here the simple solution; Halo’s new or old this apllies to, game mode storyline advancing should always be a new game such as H-H5G, but with updates with each new game. if it is on disk or download, new games should update your MP charactor and a few other things. Then for old and new MMP FPS FORGE and so on would be a continuing DLC, such as H3A, slayer, Cap the flag, griffball as an example; either leave existing online games alone or let the player decide whether to buy a new dlc, so for all online games, it can either evolve or stay, but the newest version Like H5G should include a few new aspects as to decide for your charactor, so summary; 1;New games on a disk or download 2; MMP online whether FPS or no, so a dlc or update seperate from The newest game story mod wth a newest FPS online mp. Then all other game mods would be a seperate DLC to update or give new choices. Keep the two separate but not, u c, simple buy a dlc if you want the newer or updated stuff. If you want the Newer game like H6,buy it! You get a few perks and the new game that icludes a new FPS online. BUT treat them differently because they are, right! New game vs dlc for most online gaming. There have always been two separate aspect to the Halo franchise, so keep it that way, to simple right, no need to reinvent the wheel or fix whats not broken, You can pay me, I dont mind ,;~}

I forgot to mention my main beef with 343… I wouldn’t want a Halo 3 Anniversary personally because Halo 3 has my favourite music and art style. I don’t really want 343 to ‘343-ify’ it and make Halo 3 look and sound like Halo 4 or onwards… I hate how corny everything looks and sounds in the their games.

I can’t play doubles, I can’t play hardcore, I can’t play snipes. Such a shame seeing as its the worst game in the halo franchise as far as game mechanics go. The reason that so many people vote for halo 3 is because all the kids who grew up playing it are graduated from highschool but don’t have a job yet so they are the ones playing with the most free time. This game was supposed to be centered around Halo 2 and it is most definitely not. I really hope that if an h3 anniversary comes out that they put halo 2 in there and everyone votes for that instead of h3 that would be hilarious.

Ranked cross game playlists was a terrible idea. Escepially when the two games don’t play anything alike. One has a working BR, effective dual wielding proper hit detection, powerful grenades and the other doesn’t. That’s why if I do any multiplayer playlist I rig the vote and get CE and 2 all the time. You should see some of the hate mail I get after some of the matches. It’s like I literally ruined their day if they have to play one match just one match of CE or 2.

It should be a separate game, or if it is part of the MCC, they need new playlists

I would want it to be sold separately on disc and as a digital download.

Reasons:

  • A lot of the player base has already abandoned MCC and have went to H5.
  • MCC still is buggy.
  • MCC has a bad record. If the game released on MCC, they would have to fix the buggy UI, the stupid missing things (Such as no "Join Session in Progress for Halo 3) as well as other issues with the other Halo titles. This would take focus (even if just a little bit) off H3: Anniversary.
  • They swept MCC under the rug, and it’s been under there for a while now. Better to just leave it under there instead of taking it out and slapping another title in it and potentially creating even more bugs.
  • Halo 3 was created and the first Halo to be released on Xbox 360, and it was super successful. I think it should be released on its own again on Xbox One, and not associated with the buggy mess that is MCC.
  • If released on MCC, people would naturally play the other titles (I think anyway) from time to time, and those people would want those other Halo titles to be fixed. Again, I think Halo 3: Anniversary should have all the focus. Maybe if a smaller team within 343 could touch up MCC from time to time, that’d be cool. But working on MCC and Halo 3: Anniversary simultaneously seems like a waste of time in the long run in my opinion. 343 had its chance with MCC, and they blew it. Time to move on.

It’s 4:30 AM here, and I could go on and on about this, but I just wrote as the thoughts came to me. I’ve spent tons of hours (unhealthy amounts) thinking about Halo 3: Anniversary and all aspects on it covering marketing, gameplay etc, but I simply don’t have the time to list everything lol.

Conclusion: Sell Halo 3: Anniversary as a standalone game. Perhaps at a discount for those who owned MCC? Anyway, that’s a whole other topic haha! :stuck_out_tongue:

  • Halo 3 armour customization - All multiplayer maps remastered - Updated forge - Working servers

I would love for a Halo 3 Anniversary to be in MCC but it’s just the bugs that would ruin it

It would probably be better as a separate game, technically speaking.

However, I’ll vote for part of MCC. This could:

  1. Make H3 not win vote every time
  2. Allow them to REALLY fix the playlists
  3. Force 343 to address the games issues (money on the line again)
  4. Keep everything centralized for me (digital owner, but still, I like the overall package
  5. Increase MCC population!

Actually… Even with that said, probably vote separate at the end of the day. I just want MCC populated!
