You know what my number 1 thing I would want to see would be?
An updated New Mombasa. New Mombasa has since beet slightly retconned in its layout and architecture since Halo 2. Most notably the space elevator. In Halo 2 the Mombasa Tether was in the center of the city and was very large and clunky. However in ODST it was retconned to be on a small island off to the side and is much smaller, more streamlined and thus more realistic.(And honestly better looking) This retconn was also reinforced in the Halo CEA map Breakneck which is set in New Mombasa. Thus this establishes the canon N.M. layout as the one seen in ODST.
So in Halo 2 Anniversary I REALLY hope they use the new ODST/CEA architecture and layout in cutscenes and gameplay as having the old outdated Halo 2 versions would make no sense.
P.S. Split-screen co op. Please don’t have the vertical split, horizontal is so much better.
A Halo 2 anniversary would be awesome. I didn’t play H2 as much as the other games mainly because I got it towards the end of its life but I would love to relive it! That and its one game closer to a Halo 3 anniversary lol

Halo 3 doesn’t really need an anniversary as it is already on the Xbox 360.
On an unrelated note, I hope Halo 4 has some Halo 3 maps in it.
Halo 2 Anniversary shouldn’t happen (honestly it should NEVER be) until after Halo 5, so maybe the terminals in Halo 2 Annv. could lead to the climatic Halo 6…if anything

Halo 3 also don’t need a remake because it’s already in HD graphics.

If it’s an ANNIVERSARY game, it’s released on the same date years later.

Same with me, I didn’t have Xbox Live at the time either and have never played Halo 2 online.
I would enjoy the campaign so much, it was probably my favourite campaign after Halo 3’s and would LOVE so much to see it in updated graphics, similar to Halo 4’s. It’d tell the story in a whole new way.
Also, I wouldn’t like to see a Halo 3 anniversary because the graphics in Halo 3 is fine and you can still play online on the Xbox 360 on it.

although according to some people nobody would buy it.
Personally I thought it was the best halo, it had a fun and enjoyable multi-player, it has the only elite single-player, and most of all it had an excellent campaign I played about fifty times over
Halo 2 Anniversary would be wonderful, because it was the best Halo. It would be wonderful to have online co-op as well. However, with the architecture, I would prefer Halo 2s’s original rather then ODST’s. I didn’t like ODST’s New Mombasa architecture. I preferred 2’s much more. Though this is just my opinion.
When it happens, and it will eventually, I really hope they fix the screen ratio for split-screen Campaign. It’s the only Halo game my wife and I can’t play in that mode because it makes both of us feel sick.

The layout of the missions should not be touched in Halo 2: Anniversary, pointless retcons or not. The same goes for the Banshee model. It should be the original Banshee model that was in Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Wars, not the disgusting and appalling Reach model.

The only reason Halo CEA exists is because of Halo’s 10th anniversary as a whole, Halo 2 doesn’t need a remake to be perfectly honest, it is more or less, oh you made CEA, well you have to make Halo 2 Anniv now!
