I agree completely. I remember back during the week when the Game was released and I played a Slayer Pro game where EVERYONE used the BR and the BR only, was the most fun I had on Halo 4, was so much more balanced, smooth and just felt a lot more “right” Until you experience such things as this, you wont appreciate how good they game is without the DMR. Such things like that aren’t likely these days since everyone knows the DMR is ridiculously easy to use and is the most versatile weapon hence why everyone uses it.
The DMR is one reason why “personal customization” is completely pointless, why have all these starting weapons if the DMR beats them all with ease? It’s a absurdly flawed, it’s also another reason why Loadouts cannot be balanced, and in a game like Halo where balance is important, they simply do not work well.

because it shouldn’t be in halo 4, it’s a bad weapon, you can’t balance something thats simply put a stronger version of the carbine.

getting banned doesn’t really bother me besides it’s not spam
and i swear the light rifle just got buffed i got 3 shotted by it

halo 4 is ridden with problems but having thourght about things a little i believe the dmr is the main issue, i’ve tested the weapon out myself and did well with it every time and it was bad enough in reach, i think it’s time 343 bring it to it’s grave, it doesn’t need to be in halo.
I wouldn’t say remove the DMR completely but maybe put them around the map as pick-ups instead of starting loadouts.

That’s because the guy that shot you was zoomed in. The Light Rifle is more powerful when zoomed.

i checked the kill cam, he wasn’t zoomed in

Agreed.
I would like to see all precision weapons (DMR, Carbine, Battle Rifle, Light Rifle) be pickup weapons. If you varied the weapons on each map, like DMR/Light Rifle for larger maps and Battle Rifle/Carbine for smaller maps, the game would be more fun and add variety to maps and gameplay.
This hints that I want Assault Rifle/Pistol/Frag Grenade starting loadouts on gametypes that aren’t specified to a certain weapon (BR Slayer, for example).

If they did this then we’d actually have a decent halo game! Getting shot, no worry just sprint away. Oh you need some easy kills, just pick jet pack and fly up to the top of the map and fire down shots on players. If 343 did this more people might play…rather than 30k
The BR sucks on this game because all the maps are so big.
