If 343 reads this, I'm with you

I hope you guys keep going forward with Halo Infinite no matter what happens with Microsoft and I hope that the rumors are false, I and many others want to see and buy the story DLC for Infinite, I hope the guys who got fired found a new and better job and I hope the guys who are still there don’t feel too bad about this whole mess and I hope Microsoft is not trying to change 343’s mission for Halo… Infinite is a good product and it deserves full support, if Microsoft can’t see it, I hope 343 and the community sees it…

You know the ones that got fired vented out that Halo Infinite’s downfall was due to incompetence in management and leadership in 343i…

Yeah. It’s starting to look like them NDAs were holding back some much needed criticism of how this industry treats its developers.

My current prediction is that Joseph Staten is being tasked with making another studio that will take on the development rights to Halo and then come 2024 it will be announced that 343 Industries is closing its doors and Studio 117 will be taking over development.
Anyone at 343 willing to stay with Halo will be welcome to and will be assigned accordingly to their talents and skills. Anyone seeking to go for any other pastures will be allowed to of course.

And then maybe Joseph will ret-con and try the Reclaimer Saga again while hopefuly keeping Halo Wars 2 as canon.

So instead of a solution to fix a problem. They binned the solution and put the problem on the store

idk man infinite to me was a total fiasco, a bunch of delayed features, extreme lack of content, broken multiplayer, the absurd mtx and xp system. Infinites only saving graces, for what appears to be most of the fans, were its classic art style and gameplay Thats IT and look where it got us!!! other than that this game never really offered anything great.

As I suspected this was yet another stupid rumor started by the toxic part of the community that totally spin out of control…

Waypoint is not an echo chamber, it’s just that most interactions initiated by people who don’t like 343’s work are just plain disrespectful, constructive criticism has rarely been censored on the forum…

I did not work there and cannot say if the incompetence was from the leaders, devs, or a wombo combo of both. All i know is that the product I got for the last 2 Halo games have been less than ideal. While it sucks that people lost their jobs, it is not my problem nor does it matter to me as a customer when the product i received was in poor quality.

I here Microsoft is try to make a AI to replace human workers. It was funny to think about in the 1990 but now that it’s happening its more depressing than anything else.

Incompetent management and leadership is always the narrative given in these scenarios. Not saying it doesn’t happen- but there’s two sides to every story. It is possible that the developers that were let go just weren’t working out. Also, the game has been released for like, a year and a half at this point. 343 was due for cutbacks in staff.
Personally- the sooner the writing staff gets booted out of 343, the better. Wouldve been nice if Joe Staten stayed behind and then hired a whole new writing staff ohhhhhh man thag wouldve been so cool

Again, this was a firing to cut costs. It was not performance based at all.

Maybe but it will be all of us paying for that costs in bug fixing and no add content that’s savings Microsoft money.

They did not need to fire all those people to save money. Those CEOs need to practice taking pay cuts.

I mean, they’re rich. They can wait for payday just like everyone else. Like, quit cutting corners.

Nentendo actually did that during Cov. It was there CEOs that offered the payment cut to keep there company workers employed.
