If 343 doesn't fix their franchise by 2025 it dies

Think about it. Combat evolved came out in 2001, the fan base was ranging from 6-16, halo 2 came out in 2004 the fanbase was ranging from 4-18. Then halo 3 came out in 2007, exploding the population. The fanbase was ranging from about 5-20. Now let’s take the youngest player from combat evolved when he/she was playing.
6 in 2001,
21 in 2016 (yeah look how far we’ve come).
Now taking in mind that the oldest halo CE player, would have loved 1,2,3 (possibly reach).
By the time of halo CE, he/she would be 16. Now they would be 31. They would have moved on with their lives and probably have started a family.
Now lets look at one of the youngest players again from CE, in 2025 they would be 30. They would have moved on with the franchise, in some cases, gaming as a whole.
My point is, the halo vets are dying. If halo keeps on moving on in this direction, death will be inevitable. 343i needs to fix their game.

Give the halo vets what they want.

Halo doesn’t die

It just respawns in 3… 2… 1…

Made up stats and arbitrary dates undermine your argument.

Their*

Can’t tell if funny or serious.

Now, is there something wrong with being 30+ and having kids but still playing Halo?

dang it you beat me to it XD

If 343i doesn’t fix it by mid 2016 it’ll probably die

I mean I first started playing Halo with CE in my high school dorm. I was playing other FPS both offline and multiplayer before that (anybody here remember Quake?). I anticipate that I’ll keep playing Halo games as long as they keep putting them out.

These age based arguments from the entitlement brigade are getting really played out

I mean, this is ridiculous. If being 30+ means you can’t play video games, I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

Things can die a lot faster than 9 years but… im just not sure about your age restrictions and things.

Actually the fanbase population was it’s largest in Halo 2 due to the how innovative at the time it was and the lack of competition. I knew 30 year olds playing down to 8 year olds, hell there was even posts on the Xbox dash about celebs playing and what matchmaking type they were playing. Halo 3 was great but it had rivals like CoD and BF, and believe it or not many people (including myself at one point) didn’t enjoy the turn it made from H2 and left.

Not sure I understand what you’re saying though, it’s not like the only fans of this game are people who’ve been playing since CE.

I hope not.
Started Halo with CE / H2 (kind of at the same time) when Halo 2 was pretty new and I was 13 years old.
I’m just shy of 24 now and still love this franchise, with several days of playtime logged on Halo 5.
If Halo’s still kickin’ around in 2025 when I’m in my thirties, you can bet your rear-end I’ll still be playing it.

Armor lock will be back in 2025. Who’s excited?

“There franchise” Where franchise?

Unfortunately the halo universe is being destroyed by 343.

2025? Thats generous, OP…

I’m not sure if this is supposed to be satire or what exactly.

It won’t
