If 3 is better then Reach, then why is hardly anyone on 3?

I have been hearing a lot of people saying that Halo 3 is better then Halo: Reach, and although I have no problems playing Reach (actually thinks its pretty good) sometimes I just want to play some Lone Wolves/ Rumble Pit or Team Slayer/ Social Slayer, but there is no one to play it with. So I’m just stuck with playing local “Ice Cream Man” (good game, but still) or “Dual” with my brother or one of his friends. I mean I know I’m not that good, but still I’m in for the fun of it.

The haters just can’t stay away.

> The haters just can’t stay away.

Yeah, what a bunch of hypocrites. The reason Bungie or 343 hasn’t improved Reach is because people still play it alot. If you sincerely have a problem with it, boycott it. i remember one quote, though im not sure who said it. “Do nothing, and nothing will happen”

Exactly… Its the same reason the classic playlist only has an average of a hundred people on. And nothing will change when they add the no bloom Dmr to the table. The playlist will have maybe an average of a thousand people first few weeks then it will die down. The only way it will take over is if 343 shoves it down everyones throat and you know their not. I just hope there are as many bloom friendly playlist as there are no bloom playlists for the new map packs.

You sir do not realize the importance of the TU and what it will mean for tens of thousands of Halo fans. Bungie’s “Classic Playlist” was a joke, a travesty. We still had a bloomed 5sk DMR with no bleedthrough OP nades and all forge maps.

@OP: Of course people are going to play a one year old game over a four year old game. I loved H3, much more than Reach, but I play Reach because, believe it or not, I tired of H3 after 3 years of it.

Truth. I don’t like Reach but loved every Halo before it.

Still it would be nice to play some halo 3 with some people ONCE in a while. Like have a community playdate or whatever. Otherwise basically i wasted my money getting Mythic because i have no one to play it with. Also the same reason i havent gotten Defiant yet because im afraid Halo Reach will become obsolete once Halo 4 comes out.

It’s older, People like newer things. To be honest, I love reach’s Netcode, Its pretty amazing. but Halo 3’s is just garbage, that’s why people play it over halo 3. when you play Reach, then go back to halo 3. You can see how inconsistent halo 3 was.

The Problem with Reach is the game mechanics. Its like Bungie took one step forward and like 2 steps back. The way I see it.

Well, i wonder if i can trade in the Halo 3 ODST multiplayer disc considering only use Halo 3 campaign now a days. Just the mutiplayer disc. I still like to play ODST.

That’s about a year away, you do know that right? And Reach will become obsolete when Halo 4 comes out, just like every Halo before it.

Still, thank god Bungie/ 343 doesnt force you to buy the Reach mappacks in order to play on Reach’s matchmaking like they did with Halo 3.

They will eventually, certain playlists anyway.

Only the ones in the DLC section. I wish there were separate playlist for each DLC in the DLC section. Like one for Noble, one for Defiant, and one for the upcoming Anniversary map pack. Instead of the “Premuim” playlist that requires both.

I’m bored of 3 after 3 years. Especially since it was pretty average itself compared to 1 and 2.

I will continue to play TU Reach until Halo4.

Its mostly because Halo 3’s netcode is -Yoink- and everyone moved on to Reach or other games. Halo 3 had its three years on top, but now its a -Yoink- hole with cheaters and terrible lag.

And dont even call Bungies pathetic attempt at a “classic” playlists classic its Reach with no AA’s pretty much.

I just wish they would do something to raise the population in the dlc playlists. I bought both map packs day 1 at 800 points. That’s twenty bucks on something I hardly play. They should do insane jackpot days every month to make it worth buying for some people. That and more game types for the packs like 8 vs 8 btb, swat, team slayer, ext. The playlist hardly breaks a thousand and I hardly play it.

same reason why no ones on reach. halo is DEAD

I still get games in Rumble Pit and Team Slayer…

Anyway the main reason most players don’t play it is because they are too busy either on the Forums complaining about Reach, or playing Black Ops because Reach made them give up on Halo altogether.

> same reason why no ones on reach. halo is DEAD

Tell that to the 600,000 players that were online today.

I just want my Lone Wolves back. They had it in the beta, what happened?
Rumble pit… cool… I don’t honestly care. I just want a ranked free for all playlist with 6-8 players I can enjoy. In fact, I’ve even begun work (well… finished the map… sorta… need to playtest it… smooth out the bumps…) on a small map… because Reach doesn’t have any good small maps… I love guardian… and I’m happy someone remade it but… we need to do more than refresh the old… so I took what I loved about Guardian and Construct and pinched a twist of Beaver Creek on it… and I think it’s turning out rather amazing:)

But anyway, like I said… I just want my ranked FFA playlist back. If you want to help me playtest the map my Gamertag is Travistyse. If you want to look at the map and gametype it’s on my fileshare. You can get back to me in thie thread: http://halo.xbox.com/forums/games/f/9/t/23644.aspx

I’m still loving how people think the Team Classic playlist is all Bungie’s doing. Did anyone read the Optimatch forum before the switch? It was created by the community and PUT INTO ACTION by Bungie. And does anyone even realize the aim was not to perfectly emulate classic gameplay, but to get as close as possible with Reach’s given settings?

I’m going to say no, because everyone is assuming the opposite.
