Idle players should be banned

If “life happens” or you need to smoke, use the bathroom, or anything else; turn off your xbox or don’t search for a game. It’s that easy and should be treated as such and punished.

So what if someone has a baby to take care of and it needs something during a match? Do you expect the parent to think “Oh, that was close, almost didn’t hit B to cancel matchmaking. Now I am allowed to go take care of my kid!”

It’s a more extreme example, but people don’t care if they have to do something else at the expense of their team in a video game. I’ve had countless times where something came up and I had to leave my controller and just sit there the whole match. Do I care? No, you’re all just silly gamertags on the internet that rarely even have a mic to begin with. That’s not meant to insult, it’s just that life is more important and my teammates in a video game aren’t a part of my life.

To solve the issue you’re having, 343 could add in ranked playlists where quitting could be more punished.

I have a baby, if I have to get her I dashboard, it take 5 seconds. Literally not time consuming or hard to do at all. Also, if you don’t care at all, then getting a 15 minute ban shouldn’t bother you. Have the courtesy to dashboard or turn the xbox off.

Well you can’t expect everyone to do the same. You have to remember that it’s a video game. People shouldn’t be punished for this sort of thing unless it’s a hardcore playlist that warns you about the consequences of quitting.

I can and I do. It takes little effort to do. There is literally no excuse for not doing it. Are people just way more lazy than I am? You should be punished for not taking the 3-5 seconds it takes to dashboard and just sitting in the game instead. I report literally every person who does it anyway and I have my friends list report them. It’d just be more direct and easier to just give them a 15 minute ban.

So just because you do it everyone else should? So what you’re saying is if someone came back to his headset and was like: "Hey sorry guys, I heard the baby crying in the other room so I had to run over and check on her well being. I’m back now." You would respond with: “What are you lazy? It’s people like you that ruin Halo online! You should get a 15 minute ban in a social playlist because you were thinking about your kid before my favorite video game!!”
Bottom line, it’s a video game. If you aren’t used to this sort of thing by now, you never will be. Get a group of friends (I know that must be hard to find 3 other people) and play with them. Then you can all laugh at everyone else for being so “lazy” while you eat Cheetos and play Halo.

Lol, you’re playing Halo too so idk how that insult is supposed to be effective. Also if you can’t take 3-5 seconds, you are lazy :stuck_out_tongue: bottom line, it’s a video game and if it isn’t any big deal, a 15 minute ban won’t bother you.
