Halo Infinite has been really fun so far, but I feel like some weapons can do with a bit of tweaking
AR
AR felt too powerful where most battles were just spraying the ar which was not fun. However, the AR should still be viable unlike games like 3 and reach
ideas to balance: remove headshot multiplier and add damage drop off so that other weapons can compete with the AR
Sidekick
Was not fun to use at all felt like I kept on missing shots and was outclassed by AR. I understand that many pro players are good with this gun, but halo is also a casual game and must be balanced for a more enjoyable experience.
Ideas to balance: Remove bloom and reduce the rate of fire, while also required more body shots to a shieldless opponent to kill. Although bloom balances a gun, it makes it a pain to use. Instead, 343 an increase the ttk by reducing the rate of fire while also increasing the shots to the body to kill without shield so that players with good aim can kill more quickly, keeping the skill ceiling of this gun
Commando
By far my favorite gun to use, but has some issues: bloom and difficulty to aim with a controller. This gun is broken on kbm
Ideas to balance: Similar to sidekick. Remove bloom, reduce the rate of fire.
Sniper
No scoping felt too inaccurate compared to past halo games. hate this as it feels like cod. Halo sniper should always be accurate as it is a power weapon and is fought for.
Ideas to balance: remove spread
Overall, weapon balance felt good. Some other issues I had were in BTB and behemoth, ar/sidekick did not have range. Maybe should start with commando instead. Also, there were way too many weapons in btb. felt like super fiesta in a way and heavy vehicles spawn way too late. often do not see a banshee or a tank. This can be fixed by having some of these vehicles spawn at the beginning of the map, while pelicans drop more throughout the game.
