Ideas+possible solution to some controversies

First off i want to start to what seems to be the main controversy. Sprint. I believe the solution to this problem is not simply removing it, but creating two “Branches” of playlist, Classic and Infinity. Each will have the same game modes such as BTB,SWAT,Etc but the classic playlist will suit the players that hate sprint by slightly increasing walking speed and removing sprint along with armor abilities, ordinance, load-outs and specializations so people can get that classic halo feel again that some people desperately need. The Infinity playlist could keep the same feel as halo 4 as a resort for the 14,000 people that actually liked the changes and with whatever other changes 343 deems necessary. 343 should not create any maps bigger than sand trap for classic multiplayer. Now comes the fun part.

I’ve been thinking, before the multiplayer match starts maybe to get the adrenaline pumping before battle, your dropping down onto the match in an ODST/Covenant drop pod while the timer ticks down and as soon as the timer hits one your spartan/Elite hits the ground and jumps out. I would only make this happen at the very beginning of the match due to other spawn complications. No one wants a betrayal because you simply “spawned” on them.

I also believe that they should bring back dual wielding due to the fact that it added some diversity to the weapon pool. Now onto customization. I would be satisfied if we were able to choose what class of spartan our character was from, or even if he was spartan at all (elites). As far as armor goes, it would be sweet if we could choose between the more bulky Gen 1 armor concepts (Mark IV-Mark VI and all the variants in between) or the more sleek Gen 2 armor. Two other armor aesthetics that would be nice is if we could color individual pieces of our armor(EX. Jorge) and the ability to add Gear packs, Knives, ETC on top of what we choose to give us a more tactical feel like Halo:Reach.

Aside from armor maybe we could bring back the Halo 3 style mix between elites and Spartans on each team, or we could add a Spartan vs Elite style similar to Locust vs COG in Gears of War. I know a lot of people who would love to get their hands on the Elite again. More armor DLC. How about a Human sword, need i say more.

An idea about the damage system is that if your shield goes down and you still receive some extra fire(without killing you)pieces of your armor would fall off, your visor would crack, and some HUD elements would start to “twitch” similar to your final stand on the mission Lone Wolf on Halo:Reach. It would also be nice to hear the original halo theme song along with some real world bands (Ex. Breaking Benjamin).

Forge should have AIs to mess around with and a system to make user created “Machinimas”.Firefight needs a huge comeback also.

Post your ideas and thoughts please.
P.S. Just some Ideas, don’t criticize my opinions please. Just constructive reinforcement.

I don’t care about drop pods so long as you don’t get to choose where you spawn.
I don’t care about armor DLC, or armor damage.
More or less I don’t care either way about visual gimmicks.

I don’t believe splitting the game is a practical solution. Having maps without sprint that are designed for sprint, or having maps with sprint that aren’t designed for it, just causes issues.

Elites have different hitboxes. We could allow them in specific gametypes designed around them, but allowing people to choose them whenever they want leads to issues.

I’m against classes if they affect gameplay.

Wouldn’t want dual wielding to return. I don’t feel it increases variety, it’s just a visual gimmick with balancing dilemmas.

I believe maps like Sand-trap from Halo:3 worked well with walking and would also work well with sprinting.

They seemed to work well in Halo:3. I couldn’t tell the difference, but a game mode mixed between Invasion and Slayer would work.
