Ideas more casual following of HCS?

During the fall finals last week, Halo showed that it could contend on top streamed video games. though some would say 40k veiwers isn’t amazing, this momentum can help 343 gain more leverage in developing and producing new content.

Monitors Bounty was a great step in regaining casual/recreational players with custom game browser, forge additions, and social playlists.

Beyond “343 fails”, “this update is trash”, “remove spartan abilities”, or “H5 needs elites in MM” ideas. In what ways can we see casual players be more immersed in Halo Championship Series events? Gold pack codes are great, but what else can we expand on that?

Thoughts?

We’ll crap. guess this wI’ll get merged or deleted.

I’d like to see more monthly supported req packs. have 50k req points? get skins that support your favorite teams instead of purchase. offer trivia posts for prizes, things like that. oo a fantasy hcs legue. like doing a football fantasy, but with hcs style.

I’ll check out that other post.

I think just more exposure… putting a competitive player’s mindset into more casual terms and perspectives…

I think if the maps and play analysis could be broken down and shown in a playbook fashion, exposing the effectiveness of a set-up or push, much like a play in the NFL, where a defensive breakdown can be seen in a large offensive gain… giving the viewers an opportunity to see the brilliance of the game, I think it would gain more and more of a following.

Give all viewers an in-depth look at the game, its in’s and out’s, and present it in a way where casual fans can understand the game better and the strategy that goes into it, as fast as the game can be.

The key is to get the general population on-board in perceiving Halo as a respectable competitive title and activity. Show them its competitive merit!

I heard that they give out codes for Gold REQ packs during their livestream, they should keep that up.

Which, would be better to nurture. There are thoughts already there to pick minds for.
