Idea's for the Future of Matchmaking

Hello all first time posting in this section i love halo and i want lots of people playing but i want both sides to be happy Competitive s Socials and MLG’s alike.

Now i feel from here on the Ranked/Social split yes the same exact thing from Halo 3 's matchmaking experience. Ranked would feature a truly classic halo no AA’s no sprint no loadouts and no infinity. Weapons would be placed back on the map as they were before. Now here is the part thats going to get some people riled up for starting weapons I would do a BR/Pistol or BR/AR starts.

Playlists
FFA/Lone wolves Standard free for all
Team Slayer
Team Skirmish
SWAT
MLG
Team Snipers would include Human sniper and Beam rifle as secondary.
Big Team Battle

Now the next big thing RANKS. I would go back to the 1-50 of halo 3 and i would do a exp system for social very similar to the effect of Halo 3 you win one you get 1 xp you loose you don’t.

Now for adding elites to matchmaking yes i want them back in why its a nice change once in a while and would also boost the population of halo which is ultimately is my goal. But it comes with an assurance we all know there was a problem with hitboxes in Halo 3 especially in SWAT. Elites may if necessary will be looked at and tweaked if needed. So it will be fairer for both Spartans and Elites alike.

Now For social as i said it would be the exp system from Halo 3 just without the 1-50 we would have name ranks like the last rank could be Spartan and the start could be recruit. The playlists would include the AA’s and Loadouts and sprint why because people like them. And both players competitive and social can have what they want. Make everybody happy.

Playlists
Social Slayer
Social Skirmish
Big Team Battle
Social FFA
Social Snipers
Social SWAT
Infection and yes there would be in option in the player menu right under where you choose Elite or Spartan. The choice would be to stay an Elite/Spartan or be a flood.

Now last but not least the i would return 2xp weekends to Halo. They would occur each weekend and have some of the more special gametypes.

Race
Fiesta
Griffball
Ricochet
And any other special playlist 343 or the community thinks of.

As of current Halo 4, my only main issues is the ranking system. A blend of 3’s and Reach would be ideal, everybody wins.

Having sprint and load outs and what not in social playlist would only divide the community and would be a real pain in the -Yoink- for someone to switch, lets say i play ranked because i like the old feel but don’t want to try as hard as you should in ranked, then what? or if someone who plays social wants to play a bit more competitive and not be around people who never try, then they will be forced with playing without the features that they are used to, not to mention that the designing of maps would be nearly impossible as you either design a map to be used without or with sprint.

Retain some of the multiplayer’s canonical identity, but not to a degree that it would hurt the experience. Bring back Firefight (and remove Spartan Ops if necessary to make it so). Try to make 16v16 combat work in a Halo setting. Keep playlists consolidated (no more than 15) and marry the ranking systems of Halo 3 and Reach – to this end, I suggest bringing back Reach’s CR system / armory (with a few tweaks, of course) alongside at least six or seven consistent ranked playlists. Allow Elites and good map design to make returns as well.

From the War Games menu, give me the option to either “Find Game” or “Create Game.” From “Find Game,” give me three categories: Social, Ranked, and Custom. With “Create Game”, take us to the familiar Custom Game lobby with privacy set to “Friends Only” by default. Allow us to make our Custom Game appear on a browser simply by setting it to “Open.”

Make this browser as accessible and easy to use as possible. It should look something like this: http://s21.postimg.org/u633g3207/customs.png

Not much else I can think of that’s not directly gameplay related. Of course, this is all probably a reiteration by now. Hopefully 343 has been listening.
