First of all, I want to say that the idea of a service game doesn’t satisfy me very much and unfortunately there won’t be a sequel for Infinite Halo for 10 years.
Instead, we’ll have more stories in the meantime, which I find unfortunate.
Usually there are always 4 years to wait for a sequel.
Anyway, I’ll talk about my ideas. Of course, these are just speculations and expectations.
Here’s a new Halo that could rival Halo 2, in my opinion:
First of all, I will very much appreciate the art direction of halo 2 anniversary as well as the art direction of halo wars 2 for the outcast.
For me, the art direction of Halo 2 Anniversary is the best 343 could have done because it totally represents the bungie period. It is an artistic direction that is both classic and modern. Sadly, they haven’t done it for infinity.
Developers shouldn’t hesitate to use it, and most players who have been through the bungie period have nothing to say about this DA.
Secondly, for the story, the developers should really base themselves on the story of Halo Wars 2 and the “Rise of Atriox” comic and then I will see a real “crossover” between Halo Wars 2 and the sequel of events of halo infinite. it would be a halo that would rival Halo 2 in terms of story and art direction.
Also, this does not appear to be the case for Infinite Halo which focuses more on the esharum and cortana. For my part, the Infinite Halo sequel should focus on banned and atriox. Of course, let us not forget the Prometheans who were present in the saga of the depositary.
At the start of the game, there would be a lot of flashbacks between the war of the convenant and the bannished with the cutscenes from “blur studios” because they did a terrific job on Halo 2 and then when you watch the cutscenes it looks like a movie. .
Then we would have a mission with an elite that has to fight against the banished during the halo 2 period with two or three missions.
After that, we would have one more mission where the Major is aboard the Spirit of Fire with Jerome and his whole team as well as Commander James Cutter.
Major and Jerome will have to fend off the banished and find a way to save Anders who got caught by the evil Cortana …
In the fifth mission, we would have the arbiter with his armor of halo 2 anniversary accompanied by his troops to try to find the warlords of atriox named pavium … ect in order to face them …
In the other missions, we would have the major ashore in the new mobasa and at installation 09 …
At installation 09, the major finds himself confronted with the entities and the flood.
Finally, the major finds himself facing atriox and a duel continues. atriox is still alive and we will see him again in a sequel.
Here, these are only ideas which engage only me.
I will admit, I was a little striken when I heard the 10 year plan for Infinite but it did leave me very curious of what’s to come. I’m on the ropes about the independent story bubble the Halo Wars games has created and it interwining with Infinite but I got a feeling it’s only a matter of time at this point before it happens. While I don’t see them going forward with another new mainline title for a while after Infinite with the 10 year plan in mind, I do think spin-offs would appear seperately along those lines since they said spin-offs are inevitable.

For my part, when I read that infinite halo was going to last 10 years, I was quite disappointed because it means that we won’t have an infinite halo sequel for quite a while. Instead, he prefers to do alternate stories. It is their choice.
Indeed, the halo wars games have always had a role apart in the main halo games but imagine that the characters of these RTS join the major. It would just be a great idea.
I find it unfortunate that the developers obviously don’t do this for Halo Infinite and don’t use the art direction of Halo 2.
We at least have a more classic art direction that’s better, but I’d definitely prefer the one in Halo 2.
Having said that, I would still say that they have made progress with halo infinite but all is not perfect.
What do you think of my ideas for the next events after Halo Infinite ?
