Ideas for Halo 6: Where Do We Go From Here?

Halo 5 ended with Skynet/Cortana taking over on a galactic scale. Halo Wars 2 ended

with the Professor reappearing in UNSC space in front of a Guardian.Halo 6 will seek to end the current conflict of Cortana’s rampancy/totalitarian means of peacekeeping. But even if that ends, we are still left with so many loose ends. We have the remaining SPARTAN IIs, he remaining SPARTAN IIIs, and the immense amount of SPARTAN IVs. We haven’t heard from Grey Team since they went dark before 2551. Black Team is dead. Red Team is

currently located on Installation 00, the Ark, stranded at the at the far ends of space. As for SPARTAN IIIs, Jun-A266, who we met in Halo:Reach, is alive as of Halo 5, Kevin-A282, Tom-B292 and Lucy-B091 are all active as of 2553, Team Katana aren’t technically dead, and Team Saber’s three remaining members are supposedly KIA, but unsure as to how, and if this is accurate. It is unknown if any Headhunter teams are still alive.
Now here is where I pose a question. Halo is too profitable a series to simply die after the completion of the Reclaimer Trilogy, but we don’t want it to be to repetetive, or we will lose interest in the fantastic universe Bungie and its successor 343 have created/crafted. My question is, where do we go from here? What enemy is there left to fight? My guess is shoddy, but here are some things I would love to see at one point:

  • An opening training/tutorial that introduces us to who exactly the Spartans are/were, vis a vis the Capture the Flag game the Spartans held against Marines when they were children. It would seek to show us more about the characters we meet/know, instead of just throwing them at us like they did in Halo 5. It would act as fantastic fan service for the hardcore fan while also serving to tell the casual player who these people are.
  • Gray Team returning. Where they factor in, or how they react to the idea of a Human-Covenant War’s ending remains to be seen. They are absolutely the best.
  • A conflict that forces MC to choose between his SPARTANs and humanity. All of his life was dedicated to protecting Earth and humanity, but recently he has almost seemed like saving his comrades and his team has taken precedence. Who would he choose if something required a sacrifice on that scale?
  • A relatively happy ending this time. John and the SPARTANs have been put through so much. It’d be nice to see them and the IIIs being able to put down their arms and armor and be human again. It’d be cool to have something like an interview reel at the end showing Marines and officers and ODSTs talking about their experiences with the SPARTANs. A perfect ending would involve finishing on “Spartans never die”
I’m new to this site, so don’t judge me if this is in the wrong place. I really am just interested about where we go with one of my most favorite fictional universes.
