Ideas For Halo 4 (Weapons, Vehicles, Armour Abilities and More!)

I have many ideas for Halo 4, and I know some of them won’t be met but I’d like it if some were.

Weapons that I’d like to see in Halo 4:

  • All the Halo Reach weapons
  • Battle Rifle
  • SMG
  • Flame Thrower (Halo PC variant)
  • Silenced SMG
  • Silenced Pistol
  • Brute Plasma Rifle
  • Covenant Carbine
  • Beam Rifle
  • Mauler
  • Brute Shot
  • Sentinel Beam
  • Missile Pod
  • Scarab Gun (Forge/Easter Egg only)
  • Rapid-Fire-Instant-Any-Target-Lock-on-Bottomless-Clipped Rocket Launcher with 5x and 10x scope (Ok, this one’s a joke :P)

Also, I’d like dual-wielding to return but with the Halo 2 dual-wielding controls.

I know that having all the weapons would be pointless since they replaced each other (e.g. the DMR replaced the Battle Rifle, the Needler Rifle replaced the Carbine) but it would be cool to have them all at your disposal in Forge. The same goes for the vehicles.

Armour Abilities:

  • All Halo Reach Armour abilities
  • Halo 3 equipment converted into armour abilities
  • Overshield Ability (Gives the player a temporary overshield)
  • Power Leach (Like the Halo 3 power drain but takes power from nearby vehicles/ energy shields and adds it to your energy shield)

  • All the armour mentioned here should be put in

  • Elite
  • Brute
  • Spartan
  • Flood

Elite Variants:

  • Same as Halo Reach

Halo 4 Forge Ideas:

  • All ideas here

  • The ability to edit the landscape, e.g. Select a bit of the landscape and fly up to create a hill, select it and fly down to make a hole.

  • Desert, snow covered and forest parts of the Halo 4 Forge World

  • Infinite items because I’m tired of being half-way-through making a map then finding I don’t have any walls left etc.

  • An undo button

  • An import feature to import maps from Halo Reach and Halo 3.

Matchmaking:
Living Dead:
In Halo 4 Living Dead, the survivors should be Brutes, Elites and Spartans (depending on their choice of armour to go into battle as). The original infected should be the Flood Marine Combat Form. When a player is infected, they will turn into the Combat Form of the type of soldier they were (e.g. Brutes turn into Brute Combat Forms, Elites into Elite Combat Forms etc.)

Another thing, I’d like to see hidden terminals and skulls like in Halo: CE Anniversary. And like in previous Halos, I think it would be good if the multiplayer and firefight maps weren’t just taken out of the campaign like in Halo Reach.

I know many Halo fans want Halo 4 to be like Halo 3 and not Reach but what I say is, why not combine them both? And before you ask, no I did not start Halo on Halo Reach. I’ve completed all Halos and I think the best possible Halo 4 would come from combining the best two so far.

I’d rather see brand spanking new stuff than old items from the previous Halo’s. So if the BR is returning than I would like to see a revamped version, not the same from Halo 3 with few tweaks. same with SMG etc… I’m just more interested in new UNSC/Forerunner tech and having the chance to fight a new threat.

So…you basically want all the vehicles, weapons, enemies, allies, and bad forge ideas? There is a REASON you have limited space and budgeting in a forge map.

Yeah I agree. But maybe it could only be available in forge?

Bad forge ideas? Why are they bad? (And I think that the older weapons and guns should be put in for the sake of forge.)

I’d like to see every single old vehicle and weapon for Forge and Custom Games, because Forge is supposed to be creative, and they are called Custom Games for a reason… It also wouldn’t hurt, so detractors don’t have an argument.

Oh, they’ll find one–even if they have to venture into the heart of Mount Doom itself, they’ll find one.

At any rate, I agree with you. I’d like to see Halo 3’s sandbox used as a starting point, since it covers most of the vehicles and weapons in the series.

Add an LMG with a deployable bi-pod as a Support for the Team!

The confirmed AA’s for Halo 4 are:
Sprint (default), Jet Pack, Hologram, Active Camo, and Forerunner Vision.

I have an idea for another new AA: Teleport.

How it works:
You can teleport to a teammate’s position if they call for assistance. Once you activate it you are immobilized for 1.5 seconds and there is no going back unless you get shot. If you get shot while trying to teleport the attempt is aborted.

Pros:
Support teammates when they need it most.
Easily flank your enemy. (This is how I see MLG players primarily using it)

Cons:
Short delay after it is activated and you are immobilized.
Heavily relies on teamplay.
It cannot be used to escape a sticky situation (sprint/AL).
Cannot be deactivated by the user.
