Ideas for halo 4 game modes

Im not talking about game types (infection, CTF, slayer, ect.), I’m talking about game modes (forge, theatre, custom games, ect.). What are your ideas for a totally new game mode that would add to halo like firefight did with ODST and Reach.

there should be an intel page you know that lets you know when the next update is. like on odst or like battlefield 3s battlefeed

I think there should be a mode where you can set up battles by placing AI
I feel like many people on the forums now want to be able to place AI in forge, a reason that you cant is that they would have trouble finding paths to the players or playing correctly when the pieces are random. With this mode though the map will be quite sizeable but not forgeable, all that you will have control of is weapon and vehicle placements, as well as the placement of friendly and hostile AI, this way the AI will have no problem moving about the map, I also feel like it will allow for some epic battles that are created by the community.

a game type were forge and invasion are put together the gametype would be called Forge War. Each team has a monitor that spawns weapons, vehicles and health packs for their team but only in certain areas and when the monitor dies or after a minute or two someone else gets a choice to be it. the budget is increased by the amount of kills the team gets and there is a limit on how many items can be put down such as one sniper one rocket launcher ect… if the monitor is afk for more than 30 seconds he gets swapped with another player. it is played with big teams

Larger scale invasion where the initial human spawn is by drop pod. They should be semi maneuverable. It would stop people from being spawn killed because you can just crash into them at the spawn with your pod. Not to mention how amazing it would look with pods crashing into the terrain everywhere!

You won’t start in the pod. You’ll start in the drop bay of a frigate like in ODST. With a hologram of the map on the cool board and an armory that you can refer back to at any point. breathes heavily

I have an idea, something like firefight, but a bit different in a few ways. So it would be something like an objective game, where you have to get into a base and retrieve an item, except it is guarded by enemies. But that’s not all! There’s two teams; One Spartans, one something else (Elites, New enemy thing?). So it’s like a competition to get the object, and then get out, with enemies spawning consistently. Of course, it could work, yet it could also be the worst idea ever to be created… It would have to be done right.

^Your idea sounds pretty sick. Who wouldn’t love to fly down in a drop pod. But would you be able to control where they land, or perhaps just different pods in areas go to different places.

It’s a new mode with a few of its own maps (like firefight is to MM). An objective based mode with one small team against a large force of enemies (players can play on this team, similar to Elites in Firefight. The small team could start at a small vehicle base (similar to an elephant) with an array of weapons and eqiupment to choose from. The small team has to capture the larger teams outposts, moving towards a larger base where they have to penetrate the defences and capture the base, winning the game. The larger team would be made up of bots by default but, like Reach Firefight, you could choose to play among their ranks. They could have a few different maps, maybe with different enemies on a couple.

Not really. Firefight is more like GoW’s horde mode. GoW has both horde mode and bots for multiplayer.

what about 2 teams of mixed players and AI, BIG teams, like 30 v 30 (most AI) and each team has 5 outposts, capturing all the outpoints is a win, or depleting all the other teams lives is also a win (yes, just like star wars: battlefront)

Love it.

A gametype named Halo wars played in big team everyone would start in vehicles and try to destroy enemy objectives and defend there own, in the beginning of the game people would get light vehicles like warthogs and with enough kills or after a curtain amount of time would unlock heavy vehicles

In the Game Options in Custom Games put Combat Training like CoD Black Ops. Its a good idea. :slight_smile:
