We all know that Halo Infinite will feature the ability pick up (and grapple!) and throw fusion coils. In the past fusion coils were essentially “red” barrels that exploded when they took too much damage, hurting/killing anyone nearby. That’s all well and good, but it’s basically a glorified grenade with extra steps. It is because of these “extra steps” that the fusion coils get the chance to be more powerful than your standard frag or sticky. What I want to discuss today is how 343 can improve this new system over H:I’s lifespan and in future installments.
Some ideas to begin:
- With the addition of the Ravager, 343 is clearly experimenting with area denial capabilities (fair to note 343 has been trying this with their promethean grenade for nearly 10 years). Will there ever be a version of a FC that leaves plasma goo on the ground to damage anyone that walks in it? What about other damage types? Could they make a freeze/shock bomb that slows players caught in the blast? What about one that creates an unstable vortex similar to the Void’s Tear? What about an EMP fusion coil? - It seems FC’s can be thrown and explode on contact. Can they be dropped? (We have a drop weapon button now…) Can we stack them to reach new areas? Can we move them to new locations to set up traps? - Will FC’s be the only grab-able object? I’ve heard players wishing to be able to throw other things at players like tossing a gun to a teammate that is far away or on a ledge, moving barriers to block doors in Infection, or bonking an enemy with a cone. Goofy stuff like that. - It was mentioned that the Razorback could carry FC’s. Will we ever get an air vehicle that can carry some and act as a bomber by dropping them over enemy bases and objectives? Can you enter a vehicle (or at least a mongoose passenger seat) with an FC.Those are just a few ideas I had off the top of my head. What do you guys think? Would features like these be welcome in Halo? In what ways do you want 343 to expand on the throwable object system?
So the ravenger idea might be possible that is if the substance that is infusion gel holds well in a container I could see that happing but at the same time that gel is very corrosive so if it was in a container it’d have to be one that can take more then a melee or a few bullets to blow up

Didn’t know that. But couldn’t the container just be made of the same material that the Ravager uses to hold the gel?
That fourth idea is SO good. I did not think of that. Stuff like this just makes me really excited for fusion coils.
I really hope that fusion coils aren’t the only objects you could throw. I’d like to be able to throw a Boulder or something.
The article is clear, point by point and mind! I had a huge group in the perspective of your article. Escorts Bangalore The author of this post sharing such a marvelous article with us.

Thanks. I really do believe 343 can create a decent meta around fusion coils. In my opinion, 343 has somewhat struggled to come up with truly interesting the vehicles (barring the Razorback from what we can tell so far). While I love using their vehicles, most of them don’t had a whole lot to the experience. The mantis is just a big spartan with dual-wield, the wasp is just the hornet without passenger seats, meaning it can’t make flag runs, the Phaeton is just an OP wasp. I think giving the wasp some sort of ability to grab fusion coils while flying and then dropping them would be very cool. Or at the very least, new and interesting.
Yeah throwing other object would be cool. I think it could also be could pick up deployed equipment and throw it somewhere else. Like a poorly placed drop what, or a threat sensor that’s tagging your team. Throw it across to map so your team can move stealthily again. Stuff like that.

The first idea that came to my head was going into Forge and filling the map with Fusion coils and mongooses so everyone dies once or twice at the start of the round

I really hope we can hold a fusion coil while on the back of the Mongoose.
Didn’t know how much I need this.
I don’t know about you… But I don’t feel like driving around with a fusion coil strapped to the back of my razorback.
It’s cool that you can to it. But the only application for it realistically is leaving it there and waiting for an enemy to hop in without realizing they are driving a bomb.
Honestly I don’t think the Razorback in general is going to be used all that often in MP. It’s basically just a big Mongoose, most players will opt for a Warthog, considering it has a turret to defend itself with, and it will end up being more of a “second to last” resort for moving an objective around a map. (Last continuing to be the goose).
Unless sniper bullet magnetism goes up to Revenant passenger levels when you’re in it. If that happens I could see people loading up with Shock Rifles, Skewers, and Snipers and trolling the battlefield with it.
I’d like to start a petition for 343 to hire Windjammer19. These ideas are brilliant!
There should definitely be a medal for killing an enemy with a fusion coil from a passenger seat. On the receiving end, I’d be laughing my -Yoink- off. These sorts of details and tricks are a large part of what give Halo MP its charm.
Great ideas. I love it.
